Yes, our great Aleksandra was interviewed as an IB boarder at CDL and you can see her in the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages of the school. She shared her views about her personal and academic experiences and she is fantastic – although she complains that she has a strong Russian accent 🙂 Please check it out… I think her English is great, don’t you?
Tonight we enjoyed a delicious cake in order to… “pre-celebrate” Anastasia’s birthday, which is actually next Friday. Nineteen years old! And about to finish her IB adventure here at Collège du Léman!
Our best wishes for a great birthday, Nastia 🙂
All IB2 students in Villa Ecureuil officially finished all their exams! Well done girls!!! Enjoy your freedom!
Well, guys, it is time for the last post in 2013… I think all of us were able to overcome different life circumstances this year: from great misfortunes to glorious victories. I hope that good memories will stay in your mind making you smile every time you feel depressed… and bad ones can always help you to avoid any further mistakes and disappointments!!!
IB2, take a rest, as Mock exams are coming soon!
IB1 can relax, as the true horror will start next year 😉
AP and Maturité, good luck and don’t stress too much!
Wish you all good grades, true love, loyal friends… and letters of acceptance to universities you wish to get in!
I hope you will have an amazing Christmas and New Year party, either with your family or with your friends! Wish you all the best and good luck!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This is my last post for 2013.
2014 is going to be a special year for a lot of us. It is when we will graduate from high school and enter university. Recently I have been surrounded by loads of homework, essays and application emails and so have my roommates. We’ve all experienced through staying up at night to finish work that needs to be done. Because of this, I am determined to set a goal for myself in 2014, to stop PROCRASTINATING.
Through various assignments, I realized that the time I finish my work gets closer and closer to the actual deadline. This is not a very good habit, especially when I have a lot of things to do and when they have to go to many other people. Some say that finishing work before the deadline boots the adrenaline in the body which then increases creativity. However, I still think I need to be responsible for myself and do what I should do, instead of looking forward to being busy when I can actually start my work.
2013 has been a busy year. IB, university applications and other small things have made this year full and exciting.
I have already made a small list of what I would love to do in 2014:
1. Stop PROCRASTINATING
2. Get a driver’s license
3. Try to read and understand the Name of the Rose
4. Study hard for IB
5. Don’t wake up angry.
Since there is more than a month left for 2013, I think we should still do our best and try to have a satisfying ending of this year… which can also bring a perfect beginning for the next.
IB makes us study so hard, we are spending a lot of time reading books and doing homework! Good luck to everyone with their studying! 😉
