Tonight we celebrated Christmas in Mies.

We did a Secret Santa, cooked and enjoyed spending time together.

This Sunday, Isabella and I visited the cholocolate factory where they make delicious Cailler. We were participating in a workshop where we could create our chocolate and give it a personal touch. With the help of the staff we had fun, enjoying  both the taste and the design of our personalized chocolates followed by a presenation on where does the chocolate come from.

Hello everyone!

As you could already read in the previous post, I’m new here! I just arrived on Wednesday at the Villa Mies and I got instantly and warmly welcomed! So I want to especially thank my two super house parents (Linda and Lucy) and all the girls from the house!! I also want to thank all the staff from CDL who offered me all the help I could wish for and even more!
I really feel fine here because everyone is so nice and I think that I am very lucky to be in Villa Mies. 🙂

Right now I’m studying for my exams, and, as you can see on the picture, what else could I wish for than having a cup of tea in the company of talented Charlie Chaplin to study? 🙂 (I don’t think anything else!) Plus, the view into the garden is just magnificent and the living room is so cozy!

This Tuesday we had teachers coming over to see how do boarders usually spend their time when they are not in school. Two lovely teachers paid us a visit and we had a nice chat with them followed by some tea and biscuits…

Today we met with new girl in our boarding house! Her name is Isabella. She is from Sweden, so she is half Swiss and half Sweden. Isabella speaks French, Sweden and English well. She is 17 years old, but she is going to turn up 18 on 23rd of December. She is going in 11th grade Maturite French section. She is really cute, friendly and nice. All girls and tutors already like her! We hope she will enjoy CDL and especially she will like our boarding house! Welcome to Mies, Isabella! We all nice to meet you!

On Saturday night we had the annual Christmas Dance at the Kempinski Hotel in Geneva.

It was a lovely night with good food, great company and entertainment.
