Weekend activities!!

This weekend we enjoyed different activities from Horse Riding to Escape Room.

Karen, Lulu and Mira decided to join the Women’s Day March, “Walk with a purpose” around Versoix.

First weekend of March

We are excited that March is here! The days are getting longer and brighter, and the winter chill is slowly giving way to the warmth of spring. We are very much looking forward to the days ahead.

We would also like to say a warm welcome to Nina, who joined the Old Portena family a few days ago, and spent her first weekend with us!

A Magical Week in Finland

For the February break, Liza, Ran and Isabella spent a magical week in the Finnish city of Rovaniemi. Situated on the Arctic circle, Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland and is known as “The Official Hometown of Santa Claus”.

They got to visit the Santa Claus Village, see the northern lights, ice skate on a frozen lake, go on a dog sledding adventure and much more. It was the perfect way to spend the week!

Winter Camp in Crans Montana

Melissa, Miyuki, Lisa and Mira went to Crans Montana last week for the February break. While there they enjoyed a week of skiing, snowboarding and a range of other activities such as bowling, ice skating and tobogganing. They had an amazing time!

Happy February Break

After a busy start to 2024, it is now time for a short break.

While some girls are heading to Winter Camp in Crans Montana, others are going to the Finland trip to see the northern lights, and the rest are spending it with their family. Enjoy the week and see you soon!

International Dress Up Day

It is International Dress Up Day in school today. Layla, Melissa and Liza dressed up in their national clothes/colours for the occasion. It is lovely to see the girls supporting this initiative and showing pride in their cultural backgrounds!

Responsibility in the Boarding House

During our house meeting, Isabella, Radi and Ran gave a presentation about responsibility. As we are all living in the same house, it is important that we respect and are courteous to one another. The girls stressed the importance of this in their presentation. Thank you girls for doing this!
