Rehearsal for Boarding Assembly

Farah and Lulu, two of our very talented students who have been rehearsing for our next boarding assembly.

Both Farah and Lulu have beautiful voices, and Lulu has amazing guitar skills.

Next Wednesday they will be giving a presentation to our boarding community, before our monthly assembly.

We cannot wait for this, as they are both gifted singers.

Guide for Students from a CDL Alumni

Today we had the pleasure to welcome back one of our alumni, Claudia.

The students spend some time at the auditorium today, where Claudia gave them some insight on university life.

She talked to our students about leaving the CDL bubble and going out to the world of a Uni student for the first time.

Claudia gave them some very useful tips and tricks, as well to advise when it comes to university and making choices.

The students were able to ask her questions and solve their doubts about this experience that most of them will be embarking very soon.

Claudia also talked about her new job as a lab researcher. She explained a little bit about the virus outbreak and the how’s and why’s of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Basketball Tournament

On Tuesday night some of our girls participated on a basketball tournament against another CDL house, Old Portena.

They had loads of fun and were very competitive about winning this friendly match.

In the meantime, the other girls were cheering them up from the other side of the GYM.

We are very proud to say that Villa du Lac won  the first basketball tournament of the year!

After the match, some of the girls were very excited to join the basketball  club after school, so they can keep practicing for the next  tournament.

If it’s Saturday morning, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a nice walk to the lake.

To chill down, enjoy the sunny autumn morning and to take some nice photo souvenirs … during the workshop photo.

Stacy and Nastya really enjoyed getting unbusy and self-connecting nearby Leman Lake.

Last weekend our Villa du Lac girls enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities in Alpes.

On Saturday they chose between climbing, orienteering, castle visit, horse riding, hiking in altitude& overnight in an alpine hut, etc. They had a lot of fun and they are looking forward for new similar experiences 🙂
