New opportunities with ASK

ASK is currently recruiting student volunteers for our 2012 Spring/Summer Programs.

This Spring we are organising Peer Mentoring and Monthly Kids and Teens Socials, as well as preparing for our Geneva and Leysin Summer Camps.

Peer Mentoring

We have about 5 young adults who are interested in being peer mentored. This peer mentoring activity will begin in April and we are looking for a group of students to plan outings with our mentees, to be positive role models and provide positive peer interaction whilst helping the mentee in developing their own social skills. For more information on this program please visit:

Monthly Kids and Teens Socials

Also starting in April, we are looking for students who are interested in volunteering and getting involved in monthly weekend activities with children aged 6 to 16. This activity provides a great opportunity for the children with special needs and learning differences to meet new people in a friendly, relaxed environment, whilst also developing their social skills. The student volunteers will be learning a sensitive, positive approach to dealing with children with different social abilities.  For more information please visit:

Summer Camp
Our Geneva day camp begins on 16th July for four weeks, ending with a final fifth week of intensive study skills. We have added a new camp this year in Leysin, a two week, sports focused camp. We are looking for out-going, fun, enthusiastic individuals who are keen to work with children and who will act as positive role models, developing the confidence and social skills of the children whilst taking part and assisting in the activities. Become an ASK volunteer

The ASK volunteer programme is for volunteers who want to make a difference through volunteering. To truly make a difference, volunteers need to be committed to their volunteer service, and be willing to invest their time to make a change in the lives of people who need their help.
ASK volunteer program provides the opportunity and the support to both adults and young adults (ages 15 through 18) to make a difference in their community through volunteering. Through a unique network approach, ASK volunteer program exposes the volunteers to positive experiences that may affect their views on community service… now and in the future.

WHO COULD BE AN ASK VOLUNTEER?

Someone we can call upon to help us during their free time, to assist in one of the many activities run by ASK. Our volunteers include young adults who mentor a peer and/or help out at the monthly organized outings. We are a parent community that believes in using our time & talent to help children; young and not so young, who need a little more attention, time and patience to reach their best potential in life.
