Week One

The first few days have passed very quickly, and the boys have had a lots of information to take onboard. However, with the guidance of the staff, the prefects and their friends, they have coped very well. We have had a lot of fun this week and weekend. We have had BBQs, Inflatable Games, sporting activities and lots of time for the students to get to know each other and settle into the Boarding House.

We are delighted with how things have gone and with the lovely group of boys that we have in Concha. Here are a few photos of the week so far, we have many more to upload and send.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Dear Parents,

As we approach the end of the school year, we look back on what has been a very busy and successful year. The pleasing number and variety of outstanding achievements during the year has been particularly gratifying, and we thank all the boys for their commitment during the year.

Before the school year comes to a close, there are a few important items that we wish to bring to your attention:

  • The academic year will commence on Wednesday 28th August, and Houses will open from Monday 26th August. Please may all students return to school by Tuesday 27th August at the latest.
  • Please do ensure that your son returns with the appropriate clothing needed for School as pointed out in the Dress Code. There will be an increasing effort in ensuring our students look smart for the new academic year ahead.

Congratulations to those Grade 8 students who successfully graduated from Middle School this week. We take this opportunity to thank you for the role you have played in Concha over the years and wish all the best on your new adventure in High School.

There has been a valiant effort from the boys this year regarding their academics and this is reflected on the improvement from one marking period to the next. Some can celebrate their successes and others can take the opportunity to reflect and consider what steps will be taken in order to improve as they approach the final Chapter of their time in Middle School.

This semester saw the boys partaking in an array of activities ranging from trips to Annecy to our End of Year event. Other activities included wakeboarding and Banana Boating as we welcomed back the summer sun as well as tennis.

We urge you to remember that the learning never stops, and although the Summer vacation is upon, keep learning, keep discovering and keep having fun…and don’t spend too much time on your laptops with the beautiful weather!

We know that everyone is now ready for a well-earned holiday and we wish you all a very happy and restful summer break.

Kindest regards,

James Griffiths, Matthew Svenningsen, Erik Roman Miralles and Salvatore Politano
