Almost end of term means end of Wellbeing Pillar. Today in the House Meeting it was time to wrap up the reflections done these weeks and find some conclusions.

Secondly we had the presentation of the Léman Candidates for the Student Government.

Our House is strongly represented and we encourage the boys to work hard and do their best for the school community.

Happy CDL Day!!

To celebrate the core values of our school and support important causes such as Mental Health Awareness, we had a variety of events taking place on campus today!

One of those being, the annual Grand Prix running race around the school campus. The atmosphere was buzzing and we are very proud of everyone who took part, including 14 of our Léman boys!!! Well done everyone!!!

Despite the rainy weekend, this did not stop our boys from joining activities and being active. Enjoy the images captured from these moments :

This evening we had the most anticipated event of the year in the Boarding community. The Boarding Talent Show. The Léman boys did us proud with a song and dance!!

Another weekend of fun activities for our students this weekend including; skiing, paintballing, tennis, badminton, horse riding, running, cooking and many more. We were also happy that our students were given the possibility of visiting the Frida Kahlo exhibition in Geneva this weekend.

The second part of our Wellbeing topic on Online safety was discussed today. Everybody got engaged in a Kahoot on online safety where we got hints and tips on how to be safe online. Spam messages, phishing, stolen passwords, scams and so many other features are strategies to retrieve personal information from us which will surely be used illegally.

Our safety therefore depends a lot on our reflexes and our knowledge in selecting in what we click on the web. Being aware is a first step… being smart and suspicious is a second one. Better safe than sorry, online as well.

Well done to Ablai and Emad who did a great job in leading this session and being reliable and eloquent advocates of this Pillar.

This weekend was greeted by rain and a cloudy sky, but that did not stop our boys from getting out and doing great activities.

The Léman boys back to enjoying all the fun weekend activities we have to offer….

The weekend the activities included; chess, tennis, badminton, table tennis, woodcrafting, climbing, running, music and more!!

The latest Boarding trip took place this weekend – to the beautiful city of Barcelona. With a tour around the Barcelona Football Club stadium, a visit to the Parc Güell and a chance to enjoy delicious Spanish cuisine – the students learnt lots about Catalan culture and had lots of fun.

The next trip will take place between 10th and 12th March to the Italian Capital City of Rome……..

Many of our Boarding students made the journey to the amazing ski resort in La Tzoumaz this morning. Where some students went to participate in the third instalment of this year’s ski club, many also went to take part in the Boarding Houses Ski Competition. Lots of fun was had by all, and there are lots of tired boys in Léman this evening.

We happy to announce that the Léman team has now the invaluable support of Mr Julien Fournier. Julien is joining our team and his first main task will be to support all our students with their school work and we are sure it will produce great results.

Julien is a qualified teacher with years of experience in several different countries in Europe and Africa… so he embodies already our spirit of Excellence and Internationalism.

After a lovely February break we are now back in business until the April break.

For some of us, this was an opportunity to go home, see the family and friends and somehow recharge our batteries for the weeks ahead. Others, perhaps the lucky ones :), had the fantastic possibility of spending a whole week in Crans-Montana. The weather was a-ma-zing even if it meant that we didn’t have as much snow as we would have dreamt of. However it was still enough to enjoy the slopes, spend time with friends, relax, do some activities and even witness the Ski World Cup happening right next to us.

Now it’s time to get back on track and prepare for the important weeks ahead. Energies should be high and we can’t wait for the coming weeks to unfold.

We are now preparing to close Léman Boarding House for the February half term. Well done to all our boys for all they have achieved this half term.  We hope everyone gets a well-deserved rest and return with fully recharged batteries ready to work hard for the send half of this term. We hope everyone has enjoyable breaks and we are already looking forward to seeing everyone in just over a weeks time.

We hope all our students heading to Crans Montana for this year’s Winter Camp have an amazing week in the snow!!

Today we had the opportunity to watch a fantastic Concert in the Rosey Concert Hall. The program was filled with powerful instruments, soloists and a beautiful Orchestra playing with touching sound landscapes. A night the Leman boys greatly enjoyed!

As a Boarding community, we are aiming to contribute to a local charity project – “Partage” the love!

We are aiming to collect 3000kg of food and other household items to donate to those in need.

After 2 amazing ski weekends, the usual weekend activities resumed this weekend for our students. With the additon of some seasonal ice skating and some more skiing for the Ski Club members, the Léman boys enjoyed fun activities such as chess, running, music club, cooking, tennis and horse riding.

This evening, Jose Luis and Antoni went face to face in the Ping-Pong tournament.

Well done to Parga who walked away victorious from the match!

A huge well done to some of the Léman boys who delivered fantastic presentations in our monthly Boarding assembly this evening. They all covered topics they are passionate about to the Boarding community and we are really of them for their contributions.
