Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Xin Nian Kuai Le means Happy New Year in Mandarin Chinese.

We had a great evening today to celebrate Chinese New Year, our dining hall was fantastically decorated and the food was wonderful.

Let’s hope that this new year of the tiger will bring us all a lot of strength to be able to move forward with all our projects.

It was nice to have a chat with our Chinese students about their culture, they showed us the animals of the Chinese zodiac and we found out which are ours (we leave below the information if you want to know yours). We were also told that we could only open one fortune biscuit, if you don’t like yours you will have to wait until next year.

Luckily we do like our fortune biscuit.

Enjoying the ski club!

This weekend the ski club has started, and Rakann is already enjoying it! What better way to start than with a fabulous day, sunshine, and good friends.

The skiers went to the ski resort of Champéry, Portes du Soleil. A wonderful place in the middle of the alps.

Soon we will have the ski weekend where we will all share fun moments on the ski slopes.

Pillar III: Building Positive Relationships

In today’s assembly, we welcomed two new students to the house, Kike and Parga. Welcome to the Léman family!

We talked about Pillar III “Building Positive Relationships”, we watched a video and then reflected on it, in which we talked about how we think relationships should be and how we usually act.

A good start for a nice Pillar, we will keep you informed.

Gingerbread house, a real challenge!

The house competition is back, this time with the challenge of creating a gingerbread house, Rakann and Hamza have been working very hard, realising how difficult this challenge can be but most of all having fun in the creation process, they have discovered that sugar glue is not as effective as normal glue and that the gingerbread sheets break easily.

But we can only congratulate them for doing their best, let’s see if the judges give us any points for the competition.

Well-deserved relaxation

Steam, bubbles, relaxing light, thermal water, thanks to these elements we could relax today at the Bain Bleu Spa in Geneva.

Our students have been able to go to a Spa as a reward for their efforts in this last part of the semester, in the Spa there were several pools, one of them outdoor with views of Lake Léman, with water jets, bubbles, and a sauna with herbal scented steam.

Without a doubt a relaxing experience that will help us to face these last weeks before the holidays with strength.

Volleyball tournament

Finally the long awaited date has arrived, the volleyball tournament!

Today three of our students, Kotaro, Mateus and Taichi attended a tournament with the CDL team against other schools. And we have good news: they won all the matches!

Despite having to get up early on a Saturday morning, our players put on their best performance and enjoyed the morning with their teammates.

From Léman 2 we want to congratulate all the team and coaches, thank you very much for your effort, but above all to a very important person for us, we want to give a big hug to Kotaro, we really appreciate you!

Welcome back!

Our students are back after a well-deserved holiday, it’s time to tell us stories about their holidays and share our beautiful photos with the other members of Léman.

Some have gone travelling to a new country, Portugal, Italy or Spain have been some of the chosen ones, others have visited their families and some have discovered new places in Switzerland.

All options are good to recharge your energy 100% and to restart the course!

Kotaro’s 18th birthday

Today was a special day at Léman 2, a day that we have had on the CDL calendar for 5 years now, that can only mean one thing, Kotaro’s birthday.

Without a doubt, Kotaro is a friendly, kind, joking, committed person who likes to help others and now he is 18 years old!

At Léman 2 we have only good words to say about you and in this, your last year, we hope you enjoy yourself as much as we enjoyed you.

The boys also wanted to congratulate Kotaro on his birthday, although it ended up being especially chocolatey!

Luckily the cake survived (Kotaro too) and we were all able to eat it together, a bit of sweetness to say goodbye to the week and start the last week before the October break.
