There’s something special about a cozy movie night at home, and this one was extra memorable. We made our living room a snug haven, wrapping ourselves in blankets, slipping into fluffy socks, and getting comfortable for a night of relaxation. The movie of choice? Little Women — a timeless classic that had one of us particularly excited, as she had never seen it before.
Ada had never seen this movie before and, to challenge herself and improve her English, she decided to switch both the audio and subtitles to English, embracing the opportunity to practice her language skills while enjoying the movie.
As the credits rolled, we were left with warm hearts, grateful for the simple yet meaningful evening. Ada loved the movie but didn’t agree with the ending: Jo should have married Laurie!!
It was the kind of movie night that felt comforting, meaningful, and a reminder that sometimes the best way to unwind is with a classic film, good company, and a little language practice.
