Geneva Women’s football tournament ⚽🥅

The Geneva girls’ school tournament took place today.

The Values of Women’s Football: Football, as a sport, is an excellent vehicle for essential values, and this tournament was a perfect example of that. Team spirit, solidarity, discipline, as well as stress management and the ability to bounce back after a setback, are at the heart of this sport. Manuela & her team, in particular, have learned to work together, to respect both their teammates and their opponents, and to encourage each other to achieve their goals.

This event highlights the importance of sports in the development of young people, especially women’s football, which is gaining in popularity and recognition. We are proud to see our students fully invest in this discipline and observe how much they grow, both personally and collectively.

Relaxing Weekend activities🤸‍♀️🧘‍♀️👩‍🍳

This Sunday morning, we woke up to a lovely surprise of snow in the garden and a few rays of sunshine – a great way to start the day!
Some of the girls had a lovely time visiting family in Geneva this weekend. As a boarding school, we recognise the importance of maintaining strong bonds with loved ones throughout the year, ensuring that our students feel supported and connected even while away from home.
Manuela has incredible willpower when it comes to sports and this weekend, she enjoyed Bodyshaping. This particular workout improves precision, builds muscle efficiently and enhances strength and endurance. An excellent way for Manuela to relieve everyday stress and channel her energy.
Alongside Bodyshaping, the school also offers a Stretching & Relaxing class which Ada chose to take part in. As we all know, well-being is one of the keys to success, and taking time to connect with body and mind through this type of practice is essential. Ada thoroughly enjoyed this class and was able to recognise the benefits of this activity.
With her passion for cooking, Sofiya prepared chicken with Asian sauce and vegetables. Our weekly cooking classes use recipes from all over the world to deepen the students’ cultural awareness and develop their senses. Sofiya is learning new skills every week which she is able to use in the boarding house.

Sunny weekend ☀️

This weekend was a wonderful mix of movement, relaxation, and delicious treats!

On Saturday morning, Ale and Manu hit the tennis courts bright and early and enjoyed an intense tennis session before heading for breakfast to celebrate Ale’s birthday. It was a fantastic way to stay active and start the weekend on a high note.

At the same time, Sofiya was busy in the kitchen, whipping up something delicious. She spent the morning baking a homemade lemon cheesecake with a creamy raspberry sauce.

On Sunday morning, Ada took a different approach to self-care by focusing on a stretching session with her friends. She dedicated time to focusing on herself, improving her flexibility, and releasing any tension from the weekend’s activities. It was a peaceful, refreshing start to the day. Afterward, she went on a walk to enjoy the fresh air and the sun.

Alejandra’s 17th birthday 🎂🎈

Yesterday, we celebrated Alejandra’s 17th birthday! Although she spent most of the day surrounded by her friends and loved ones, we made sure to find a special moment to come together and celebrate at home.

And what better way to mark the occasion than with a little surprise? Since Alejandra’s favorite cake is banana bread, we decided to bake her a homemade banana bread with chocolate—just the way she loves it!

Alejandra is a truly kind soul. She loves to help whenever she can. She can be very shy if she doesn’t know you, but once she feels comfortable with you she can be the funniest person in the room.

International Women’s Day ♀️

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day.

Today we celebrate all the women around the world who have to and are still fighting for their rights, and for social and labor equality.

Today we celebrate the amazing women who live in our house: Ada, Alejandra, Haruka, Kseniia, Manuela, Serena, and Sofiya. Thank you for fighting every day for your dreams and for what you believe in. Don’t ever let anyone stop you. We can’t be prouder to see the amazing women you are turning into.

Movie night 📽️🍿

There’s something special about a cozy movie night at home, and this one was extra memorable. We made our living room a snug haven, wrapping ourselves in blankets, slipping into fluffy socks, and getting comfortable for a night of relaxation. The movie of choice? Little Women — a timeless classic that had one of us particularly excited, as she had never seen it before.

Ada had never seen this movie before and, to challenge herself and improve her English, she decided to switch both the audio and subtitles to English, embracing the opportunity to practice her language skills while enjoying the movie.

As the credits rolled, we were left with warm hearts, grateful for the simple yet meaningful evening. Ada loved the movie but didn’t agree with the ending: Jo should have married Laurie!!

It was the kind of movie night that felt comforting, meaningful, and a reminder that sometimes the best way to unwind is with a classic film, good company, and a little language practice.

Kseniia’s 19th Birthday 🎈🎂

Kseniia celebrated her 19th birthday on March 1st, but due to the holidays and her mock exams, we couldn’t all celebrate together until today!

Kseniia is the eldest member of our household and has always been a source of love and protection for the other girls. With her infectious positive energy and countless stories, she’s the heart and soul of our home, always keeping us entertained. Her sense of humor is truly remarkable, and she has a gift for bringing joy and light to every room she enters.

We wish you all the best!

Ramadam

To all those celebrating Ramadam, we wish you a peaceful and joyful Ramadan. May this special month bring you moments of reflection, growth, and connection with loved ones.

🦋🌷 Welcome back 🌻🦋

During the winter break, some of the girls went back home and enjoyed a lovely time with family and friends.

Some others enjoyed skiing in the French Alps in Courchevel or in the Swiss Alps, in Crans Montana.

Now the weather is warmer, and spring and flowers are slowly coming out.

A quiet weekend for them for a smooth return with a beautiful sun.

Happy to see you again.
