Wellbeing Pillar 1, Body Image Discussion

As part of our Pastoral Program and Wellbeing Pillar 1, we had a session this evening on Body Image. We started by watching a short video to spark conversation.

We reflected on where body insecurities might come from most identified social media, peer pressure, and societal expectations as major influences. We explored how these messages can affect our feelings, behaviour, and self-treatment, noting that insecurities can lead to self-criticism or comparing themselves to others.

Finally, we agreed that it is possible to challenge and unlearn some of these negative beliefs through self-awareness, positive reinforcement, and support from friends and mentors.

The discussion was lively , and the girls showing genuine insight and support for each other’s perspectives.
