International Dinners at Collège du Léman, Belgian Dinner

Tonight, the entire boarding school community came together for our traditional monthly meeting.
As usual, the Boarding Managers, School Principals, students, and House Parents participated in discussions on various topics.
The meeting was, once again, a great success and a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our sense of community.
Sports House Competition 🏆 2nd Place. Well done , girls !!
This Sunday marked the first House Competition of the academic year , Sports Day. Students participated in a variety of activities, including Tug of War, the Three-Legged Race, Frisbee Shot, Bucket Fill-Up, Cornhole, and the Spoon Race.The event provided an excellent opportunity for our boarders to strengthen friendships, develop teamwork skills, and enjoy a positive moment of boarding community spirit.

Exploring Lausanne with Cici and Ada
Last Thursday, Ada, Cici, and several other students took advantage of their free day to explore Lausanne, the Olympic city. Their excursion began with an exciting visit to the Olympic Museum, where they learned about the history of the Games and enjoyed numerous interactive exhibits. Next, they made a stop in Lausanne’s Old Town, a charming neighborhood filled with picturesque streets, where they strolled and shopped for souvenirs. The afternoon concluded with a delicious ice cream, providing a pleasant moment for everyone to relax and chat. Overall, it was a delightful and enriching day full of discoveries!

Our Écureuil Boarding House is ready to celebrate a holiday today !!
The Jeûne Genevois is a public holiday specific to Geneva. It falls on the Thursday after the first Sunday in September. On this special day, the people of Geneva traditionally eat prune tart.
The practice of fasting could be observed in the Swiss cantons as far back as the 15th century. The Diet, an assembly of the representatives of the cantons in place until 1848, organised penance and thanksgiving days. Each canton could decide what form these fasts would take.
The origin of the Jeûne Genevois dates back to the first fast recorded in Geneva, at the beginning of October 1567 following the repression of Protestants from Lyon. From 1640, fasting was seen as a moral and religious act and became an annual practice at the initiative of reformed cantons. It was seen as an act of humility and solidarity with the poorest members of society.
First House Dinner at Villa Ecureuil !
This Tuesday, we held our first “Dinner at Home” at Villa Écureuil, and it was a success. The monthly gathering fosters a sense of family in our boarding house. Kebab was on the menu, delighting everyone, while laughter and conversation filled the room. These shared moments create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Villa Écureuil special.
