Weekend Highlights at the Boarding House

This weekend was filled with creativity, movement, focus, and personal growth across the boarding community!

๐ŸŽจ Rochelle and Cici took part in the Art Club, a space where imagination meets expression. With just a blank page and a pencil, they brought their ideas to life. Art offers a powerful outlet for creativity, emotional release, and self-reflection. Itโ€™s also a great way to unwind and recharge, a quiet moment to reconnect with oneself in the midst of a busy academic schedule.

๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ Abby and Cici headed to the trampoline park to let off some steam, and rightly so! After completing her SAT exam in preparation for university applications, Abby needed a way to release the stress. Trampolining isn’t just fun, it boosts mood, improves balance and coordination, and provides an intense full-body workout that leaves you feeling light and re-energized.

๐Ÿ“š Meanwhile, Jasmine and Lucy also sat for their SAT exams, an important milestone in their journey toward university. The girls are showing strong maturity and foresight, understanding how preparing early can help open up more opportunities for their academic and professional futures.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Ada joined the cooking class, an activity she regularly enjoys as a way to decompress. With the high expectations and goals she has set for herself this year, this hands-on creative outlet helps her relax and find balance. Cooking also teaches patience, focus, and is, of course , deliciously rewarding!

Each weekend, our students continue to impress us with how they invest in themselves, whether through learning, movement, or creative exploration. Weโ€™re proud to support them on their journeys!

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Creativity Beyond the Canvas

This weekend, Ciciโ€™s creativity didnโ€™t stop at the art table ! It followed her all the way to the kitchen.

She took real pleasure in preparing her own meals, putting great care not only into the cooking but also into the presentation of her plate. Turning a simple dish into something beautiful and personal, she reminded us that creativity can shine in all aspects of daily life, even in what we eat!

Well done, Cici, for combining independence, style, and flavour!

๐ŸŽจ Creativity, Commitment & Weekend Adventures at the Boarding House

This weekend, Cici and Abby fully embraced the art activity as an opportunity to explore their creativity. Through various techniques and materials, they found a space to express themselves freely and develop their artistic side. Itโ€™s always inspiring to see students use weekend activities not only to relax, but also to grow on a personal level.

At the same time, Ada dedicated her weekend to academic work. Focused and determined, she spent many hours revising and working through her assignments. Her perseverance and strong sense of purpose clearly show her commitment to achieving her goals.

Meanwhile, other boarders made the most of the weekend with different kinds of experiences:
โ€“ Rochelle enjoyed an exciting trip to Europa Park with the boarding team.
โ€“ Jasmine travelled to Denmark to spend quality time with her aunt.
โ€“ Serenaย and Charly went home to enjoy a warm weekend with their families.
โ€“ Abby joined her mother and uncle in Berlin, where they participated in the cityโ€™s marathon event.
โ€“ And Lucy (with a friend) took advantage of a peaceful getaway in a chalet in the Swiss mountains.

From creativity to commitment, from family moments to new adventures, our boarders continue to make the most of each opportunity to recharge, grow, and connect,ย  both inside and outside the boarding house.

Mountain Weekend in Verbier โ€“ A Tradition of Adventure and Friendship

Thist weekend, all of our boarding students came together for one of the highlights of our year: the Mountain Weekend in the stunning Swiss Alps. This annual tradition is not only a great way to kick off the year with fresh air and outdoor fun, but also an amazing opportunity for new students to make friends and connect with the boarding community.

We were lucky to enjoy very beautiful weather throughout the weekend, which made the experience even more memorable. The girls took part in a variety of exciting mountain activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. These activities pushed them out of their comfort zones while allowing them to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Swiss mountains.

At the same time, in the village of Verbier where we were staying, the famous Spartan Race was taking place. This intense obstacle course covers several kilometers and includes challenges such as carrying heavy objects and climbing high walls. Our students had a great time watching the athletes take on these physical tests, it was both inspiring and entertaining!

The Mountain Weekend is a cherished boarding tradition, and each year it helps our students discover new passions, enjoy the natural beauty of Switzerland, and build strong friendships that last all year long. With fresh mountain air, plenty of sports, and lots of laughter, this was the perfect way to start the school year on a high note!

Abby’s 16 birthday ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ

Today weโ€™re celebrating a very special student in our boarding community, Abby, who just turned 16!

Abbyโ€™s birthday isnโ€™t just about cake and candles (though weโ€™re definitely enjoying those too!). Sheโ€™s marking this milestone with a strong sense of purpose. Her biggest wish for her 16th year? To prepare for the SAT and start thinking seriously about university.

Abbyโ€™s focus and motivation are truly inspiring, and weโ€™re proud to support her as she begins this exciting chapter. Whether sheโ€™s studying, sharing a laugh with her housemates, or thinking ahead to her future, Abby brings thoughtfulness and determination to everything she does.

Wishing you a fantastic year ahead, Abby, full of learning, growth, and all the opportunities youโ€™re dreaming of! ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐ŸŽ“ Graduation 2025 โ€“ A New Chapter for Sofiya, Kseniia, Manuela, and Haruka ๐ŸŒŸ

This weekend, we proudly celebrated the graduation of four remarkable students: Sofiya, Kseniia, Manuela, and Haruka. Their journey through high school, and especially within the boarding community, has left a lasting impact on us all.

Over the past year, they have shown unwavering determination, resilience, and willpower, particularly during the intense exam period. We had the privilege of witnessing their growth, their ability to rise to challenges, and their personal and academic development.

Each of them brought something unique to our community โ€” through their commitment, positive energy, and ambition, they became role models for their peers. Their time with us has been filled with meaningful connections, joyful moments, and unforgettable memories.

As they prepare to open a new chapter in their lives โ€” university and beyond โ€” we send them off with our warmest wishes for success and fulfillment. May they continue to believe in themselves, dream boldly, and pursue their goals with the same strength they have shown here.

Thank you for everything โ€” and see you again soon on new paths!

๐ŸŒฟ Ascension Weekend at the Boarding House

Over the Pentecost long weekend, many of our boarders enjoyed a well-deserved break and took the chance to spend time with family or explore new places.

Ada spent the weekend in Lausanne with her father, taking in the sights and enjoying some quality family time.

Alejandra welcomed her family who flew in from Mexico and enjoyed discovering Geneva together.

Serena travelled to Manchester to reconnect with friends,

While Kseniia soaked up the sun and culture during a getaway to Malta.

Back at the Boarding House, Sofiya embraced the calm atmosphere, using the time to rest and try something new, she gave badminton a go and had lots of fun!

Itโ€™s always lovely to see how each student chooses to relax and recharge in their own way as we approach the final stretch of the school year. ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐ŸŒŸ End-of-Year Support & Wellbeing Challenge

As we move closer to the end of the school year, we know this can be a stressful time for many of you. Some are still in the middle of exams, while others are waiting for their final results. Whatever stage you’re at, it’s completely normal to feel a little overwhelmed.

To support you through this period, we’ve launched a Wellbeing Challenge this week, a fun and easy way to take care of your body and mind. Whether it’s through movement, mindfulness, or simply taking a break, small actions can make a big difference.

You’ve all made amazing progress this year. Keep going, you’re almost there, and weโ€™re proud of you! ๐Ÿ’›

Running for a Cause, Resting for Success ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

This past weekend offered a mix of energy and calm across the boarding community. A special highlight was the 24-Hour Fun Run, which took place from Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 a.m. to Sunday at the same time. For a full 24 hours, students took turns running, showing impressive dedication and teamwork. More than just a physical challenge, the event was organized as a fundraiser for cancer research , turning every step into a symbol of solidarity and meaningful action.

Meanwhile, life at Maison ร‰cureuil was more peaceful and reflective. With final exams just around the corner, the atmosphere was calm and focused. Some of the girls enjoyed a relaxing day trip to Geneva, while others stayed behind to study, unwind, rest. It was a well-balanced weekend, one that blended quiet preparation with inspiring community engagement.
