Geneva Women’s football tournament ⚽🥅

The Geneva girls’ school tournament took place today.

The Values of Women’s Football: Football, as a sport, is an excellent vehicle for essential values, and this tournament was a perfect example of that. Team spirit, solidarity, discipline, as well as stress management and the ability to bounce back after a setback, are at the heart of this sport. Manuela & her team, in particular, have learned to work together, to respect both their teammates and their opponents, and to encourage each other to achieve their goals.

This event highlights the importance of sports in the development of young people, especially women’s football, which is gaining in popularity and recognition. We are proud to see our students fully invest in this discipline and observe how much they grow, both personally and collectively.

Relaxing Weekend activities🤸‍♀️🧘‍♀️👩‍🍳

This Sunday morning, we woke up to a lovely surprise of snow in the garden and a few rays of sunshine – a great way to start the day!
Some of the girls had a lovely time visiting family in Geneva this weekend. As a boarding school, we recognise the importance of maintaining strong bonds with loved ones throughout the year, ensuring that our students feel supported and connected even while away from home.
Manuela has incredible willpower when it comes to sports and this weekend, she enjoyed Bodyshaping. This particular workout improves precision, builds muscle efficiently and enhances strength and endurance. An excellent way for Manuela to relieve everyday stress and channel her energy.
Alongside Bodyshaping, the school also offers a Stretching & Relaxing class which Ada chose to take part in. As we all know, well-being is one of the keys to success, and taking time to connect with body and mind through this type of practice is essential. Ada thoroughly enjoyed this class and was able to recognise the benefits of this activity.
With her passion for cooking, Sofiya prepared chicken with Asian sauce and vegetables. Our weekly cooking classes use recipes from all over the world to deepen the students’ cultural awareness and develop their senses. Sofiya is learning new skills every week which she is able to use in the boarding house.

🦋🌷 Welcome back 🌻🦋

During the winter break, some of the girls went back home and enjoyed a lovely time with family and friends.

Some others enjoyed skiing in the French Alps in Courchevel or in the Swiss Alps, in Crans Montana.

Now the weather is warmer, and spring and flowers are slowly coming out.

A quiet weekend for them for a smooth return with a beautiful sun.

Happy to see you again.

Cooking Weekend

Cooking is one of the most requested activities in Ecureuil, especially when we are talking about pastries!

This Saturday Ada baked an ” Ile Flottante ” a typical French dessert, with crème anglaise (also known as custard) and homemade caramel.

It might look like a difficult recipe but trust us, it’s pretty easy!  You only need to beat the egg and keep the yolk for the custard cream and mix it with milk, sugar, and vanilla, and is topped with homemade caramel for the final twist.

Ada had a lovely time with her friend Sophia baking this simple but incredible recipe.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

Valentine’s Day might be for lovers, but not only!

Love is one of the most powerful words, able to unite people from everywhere in the world and in any situation. This is what we can find here at College du Leman.

Our students found a new family and took advantage of this Valentine’s Day to show love to each other. Friendship & links become stronger as they are far away from home, and they are making really good and important memories.
