Let’s help Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil πŸ™

The tragedy has already claimed over 80 lives in 336 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. More than 1 million homes don’t have electricity. Families are now being rescued after being stranded for a week without clean water, food, or medicine. Volunteers from all over the country are coming to the south with boats and kayaks to help find people and animals.

Bruna and other Brazilian students went to different houses to raise awareness of the current situation in Brazil and to raise funds.

Our full support goes to our Brazilian students, their families, and to all the victims of this disaster.

A big thank you also to Maria, who created this poster. ❀

Spring weather, we’ve missed you

This weekend’s weather is all we’ve been dreaming about since November. Students went down to the lake to enjoy the sun and relax before the exam season started.

Sofiya had a lovely birthday picnic in our garden with a few friends before heading to her beloved activity of the semester: boxing. Week after week Sofiya enjoys going to the Versoix Boxing Club and give the punching bag a hard time.

Venice trip with Fields!

Ciao a tutti,

this weekend Fields embarked on a trip to Venice, Italy. Along with other students, she discovered the wonderful streets of the “City of Canals”. Founded 1602 years ago, Venice is one of the most beautiful cities, not only in the Adriatic Sea but in the whole world.

In addition to eating plenty of pasta, pizza, lasagna, and gelato, Fields visited the Palazzo Ducale, situated in Piazza San Marcos. They also got lost in the streets of Murano, an island very close to Venice where they learned about the art of making glass. Before coming back to Geneva, they visited La Fenice, one of the oldest and most famous theaters in the history of Italy.

Arrivederci, Venezia. Next stop…?

BBQ time πŸ”πŸ₯©

Today is a bank holiday in Switzerland and therefore all stores, restaurants, and gathering places are closed.

Kseniia and her friends didn’t want to miss the opportunity of the lovely weather we have today and organized a barbecue! Mr. Nacho was kind enough to open the door of his home and let them do the barbecue in Villa Franconis. Fun, laughs, screaming and lots of joy were shared between all of them.

Happy Birthday to Defne and Sofiya !😍

On May 4, Defne turned 18. What an important date! Turning 18 means so many things, like independence, responsibility, and becoming an adult. But no pressure Defne, you’ll always be your parents’ baby, just like all of us. πŸ˜‚

We wish you a magical birthday, and all the best for this new year as a young adult. 🩷

On May 6, it was Sofiya’s turn. She turned 17, the best age! No adult problems yet, but mature enough to do what she wants. It’s such a pleasure for us to have Sofiya in the house. Very kind, polite, and intelligent girl. On top of that, she’s so pretty, what more could we ask for? Happy birthday, we love you!! 🩷

🎊 Happy Easter! 🎊

Millions of Orthodox Christians around the globe join in the celebration of Easter, the most significant event in their religious calendar. This joyous occasion is a culmination of fasting, prayer, and deep spiritual reflection.

Orthodox Easter is more than just a day. It ends Lent, a period of self-discipline. The Easter celebrations are full of traditions, symbolism, and heartfelt rituals that have been passed down from generation to generation. 🌸

We wish to all of our students and colleagues who are celebrating it a blessed and wonderful Easter. 🐣πŸ₯š

Happy Orthodox Easter to those who are celebrating today! : r/europe
