International Quiz Night

This week at Collège du Léman we are celebrating International week, and to continue the celebration we organised with our boarding students a fun night International Quiz (that was going to be included in the house competition).

Three courageous Ecureuil girls took the lead and made their way to Léman to participate in this important competition.

Kseniia, Sofiya and Ada put their brains to work and tried to answer correctly every question. But most importantly, they had a lot of fun and they even stayed for a second round!

Wellbeing Pillar 5 – Week 3: Respect

Last night, we introduced the second and last takeaway point of our Wellbeing Pillar: Focus on respect as a tool for conflict resolution.

In a Boarding community, where you spend every second of the day with the same people, it is very easy to encounter conflicts, but knowing how to handle them is essential.

In the video, our Advocates Team explained that respect is key to resolving conflict—by listening, staying calm, and seeking common ground, we build stronger relationships.

Running for a Cause, Resting for Success 🏃🧘‍♀️

This past weekend offered a mix of energy and calm across the boarding community. A special highlight was the 24-Hour Fun Run, which took place from Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 a.m. to Sunday at the same time. For a full 24 hours, students took turns running, showing impressive dedication and teamwork. More than just a physical challenge, the event was organized as a fundraiser for cancer research , turning every step into a symbol of solidarity and meaningful action.

Meanwhile, life at Maison Écureuil was more peaceful and reflective. With final exams just around the corner, the atmosphere was calm and focused. Some of the girls enjoyed a relaxing day trip to Geneva, while others stayed behind to study, unwind, rest. It was a well-balanced weekend, one that blended quiet preparation with inspiring community engagement.

Cultural Diversity: Russia 🇷🇺

During tonight’s Boarding Assembly, Kseniia and her friends went on stage to talk about Russia and one of their most precious traditions: the Maslenitsa.

Maslenitsa is a traditional holiday that marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It is celebrated either at the end of February or at the beginning of March, and it is also known as “Pancake Week.” The holiday is known for its festive atmosphere, featuring outdoor games, sleigh rides, singing, and the making of blini—thin pancakes symbolizing the sun.

Wellbeing Pillar 5 – Week 2: Empathy 🫶🏼

Last night, during our House Assembly, we focused on how to build positive relationships thought empathy.

Our team of Advocates had prepared a video that explored the meaning of empathy and how important it’s to show empathy to other when they are at their lowest. The goal was to make students reflect on the different ways we can show empathy— from actively listening to just support other or give them a hug. Any small detail can make someone going thought a difficult moment feel accompanied.

A Taste of Türkiye 🇹🇷

Last night, for our International Dinner, the kitchen staff prepared a lovely Turkish dinner.

As you can imagine, our Ada was very excited to share a piece of home with her friends, and they all sat together to enjoy some traditional Turkish food.

Manuela’s first Half-Marathon 🏃🏽‍♀️

Today we celebrated a huge milestone for Manuela as she completed her first Half-Marathon ever!

Manuela has been training for the Half-Marathon since August and she described the experience as something she will never forget, and she recommends other students to sign up for next year’s race. It was her first time running more than 10 kilometers on a row, and she did 21k!

Manuela is an example of dedication and hard-work and we couldn’t be prouder!

Ada’s wild adventure 🦘

Today, Ada enjoyed an educational visit to Bioparc Geneva.

Home to over 300 animal species—100 of which are endangered—Bioparc is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of wildlife. Its mission is not only to protect these animals but also to raise awareness about biodiversity and sustainability.

We love encouraging our Boarders to engage with the community. With this first visit, we hope our students will take part in future workshops and even volunteer to support the important work Bioparc is doing.

Wellbeing Pillar 5 – Making Safe and Responsible Choices

Last night, we introduced Pillar 5 of our Wellbeing Program: Making Safe and Responsible Choices. With this pillar, we want to encourage students to reflect on how their actions can impact not only themselves but also others, and how thoughtful decision-making is fundamental to build a supportive community around them.

To launch the pillar, we watched a video by Mr. Manu where he introduced the topic, the students participating in this pillar, the goals, and the take-away point we would be discussing during the next couple of weeks.

Following the video, the group took part in a discussion, reflecting on two key takeaway points for this pillar:
