Inspired and organized by Ryan Blyth, fellow colleagues and friends from Collège du Léman cycled around Lake Geneva (Lac Lèman) on this weekend in order to raise funds for ZOA. The ride was over 190km and most of the group stopped half-way on Saturday Night for a meal and a few drinks together. All participants arrived back at the starting point late Sunday afternoon, saddlesore but satisfied that our funds raised will significantly assist the running of the Serenje Orphans Childrens Home (SOCH) in Serenje, Zambia. Indeed, the £7000 raised will be used to construct a new dormitory to cater for the older children as they pass through puberty and require additional privacy.
