Piece by Piece 🧩✨

Dear all,

Over the past week, our students took on a very special challenge: a custom puzzle made from Champs‑des‑Bois photos spanning 2024 to 2026—a thoughtful gift from Ms Camille. Each piece carried a memory, a smile, or a moment from the past few years, making this puzzle more than just a game; it became a journey through our shared story.

It was wonderful to watch students return to the table day after day, adding a few more pieces each time. Beyond the fun, puzzles offer such healthy habits for young people: patience, problem‑solving, collaboration, and the quiet satisfaction that comes from working steadily, and the joy of when that one piece finally fits!

The completed puzzle now stands as a beautiful tribute to Champs‑des‑Bois—a collage of moments now memorised, preserved, and celebrated.

From Ski Slopes to Stage Lights: Our Weekend Snapshot

This weekend in the boarding house was full of warmth, activity, and shared moments. After a calm movie evening on Friday, the boys enjoyed a mix of creativity and relaxation on Saturday. Some took part in a woodwork atelier in Geneva, while others preferred a quieter day in the house, resting, chatting, and playing games after a busy week of school and activities.

Sunday brought two highlights. Two adventurous students headed to La Tzoumaz for their second ski day of the semester, enjoying sunny but very cold mountain conditions. Meanwhile, two other housemates performed in the Once Upon a Time concert at Victoria Hall, a beautiful musical event organised by the Comédie Lyrique. Their performance, confidence, and talent shone on stage, and we could not be prouder. Altogether, it was a wonderful weekend that strengthened our sense of community and filled the house with positive energy.

Lively Moments & Winter Adventures

Dear all,

After a full and bustling week in the house, the boys eased into the weekend with a calm and cosy Friday evening. Movie time gave everyone a chance to unwind together, share snacks, and enjoy a gentle end to the school week.

Saturday brought back our usual lineup of activities, allowing each student to dive into something they enjoy—whether staying active, socialising, or simply spending time outdoors. In the afternoon, the group headed into Geneva for a day trip. By the time we returned, the evening remained relaxed but full of laughter, stories, and that uniquely lively atmosphere that comes when the boys reconnect after shared experiences.

Sunday delivered the weekend’s biggest highlights. One group made their way to Gravity Park, where they spent the morning jumping, flipping, and burning off a lot of energy. Meanwhile, a second group set off toward La Tzoumaz for a full ski day, making the most of the winter conditions and the chance to be out on the slopes.

Singapore International Dinner

Dear all,

On Wednesday evening, our boarding house had the opportunity to attend the International Dinner hosted at Leman, which this week highlighted the culinary traditions of Singapore. The dining hall featured thoughtful cultural details that reflected the city‑state’s unique blend of influences, creating an inviting setting for the evening.
Students enjoyed a selection of classic Singaporean dishes, including chicken rice, laksa, and stir‑fried noodles. For many, it was an introduction to new flavours; for others, it offered a familiar taste of home. The dinner encouraged conversation, cultural curiosity, and a shared appreciation for Singapore’s diverse food culture.
Participating in events like this strengthens our sense of community and provides meaningful opportunities to explore global traditions together. We look forward to future international dinners and the cultural experiences they bring.

Boarder of the week

This week, the House Parents team is proud to recognise Paul David as our Boarder of the Week.

Paul David consistently demonstrates what it means to be a dedicated and well-balanced boarder. He approaches his academic work with seriousness and commitment, showing strong organisation skills and a genuine desire to improve and excel. This conscientious attitude is matched by his reliability and maturity within the boarding house.

As a housemate, Paul is responsible and respectful, paying close attention to the rules and expectations of boarding life. He understands that a positive community depends on everyone’s contribution and leads by example through his behaviour and everyday actions. His efforts to grow both personally and academically make him a true role model and a valuable member of our boarding community.

Congratulations Paul David! 👏

A Weekend Full of Snow and Smiles

This weekend didn’t go exactly as planned, but sometimes the best memories come from unexpected changes. We were originally set to head to the mountains together, but a last‑minute change of plans split our adventure into two groups — and both made the most of it!

The skiers spent the whole day of Saturday in the stunning resort of Crans‑Montana. With their instructors leading the way, they enjoyed hours of skiing and snowboarding under perfect winter conditions. From improving technique to simply embracing the thrill of flying down the slopes, everyone returned tired, happy, and full of stories.

For those who weren’t skiing, the day was just as exciting. The group headed to Switzerland’s beautiful federal city, Bern, where they explored its charming streets and iconic sights. After soaking in the culture, the adventure continued at the Bernaqua Water Park, where the slides, waves, and warm pools made for a fantastic and energising afternoon.

To keep the winter spirit alive, Sunday brought us all together again for ice skating with Terray 27. Whether it was learning how to skate for the first time, playing tag across the rink, or forming a long (and often collapsing!) human chain, the laughter never stopped. Every turn made the queue shorter, but somehow the fun only got bigger.

Despite the changes in plans, the weekend turned into a memorable mix of snow, slides, and smiles.

CDB/Terray 27 Secret Santa Party & Birthday Party!

Dear all,

Our Secret Santa party between CDB and Terray was the perfect way to kick off the holiday break! The evening was full of laughter, festive music, and the excitement of exchanging gifts. Everyone brought their best game—thoughtful presents, creative surprises, and plenty of holiday cheer. With tasty snacks and a warm atmosphere, it was a celebration that truly brought both houses together.

We also had two special birthdays to celebrate! A big congratulations to Mana, who is stepping into teenage life and leaving childhood behind, and to the amazing Mr. Riccardo, whose dedication and positivity make such a difference every day. With cake, cheers, and heartfelt wishes, the night reminded us of what matters most to us here – each other.
