Venezuelan Night!

Dear all,

Today, we shared a Venezuelan dinner at Collège du Léman. The flavors were rich, the spices just right, and the vibe around the table was full of good energy.

Venezuelan cuisine is known for its variety—corn, plantains, black beans, cheese, and meats are key ingredients in many traditional dishes. One of the most iconic foods from Venezuela is the arepa, a type of corn flatbread that can be filled with almost anything.

Did you know Venezuela is home to Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall in the world? It also has beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and part of the Amazon rainforest. Like its geography, Venezuelan food blends many influences—from Indigenous roots to Spanish and African traditions.

Russian Dinner!

Dear all,

Today, we had the pleasure of sharing Russian dinner. We started with a classic Russian salad, followed by Beef Stroganoff with melting potatoes and mushrooms, and finished with a sweet slice of Napoleon cake for dessert. It was a cozy meal with hearty flavors that everyone enjoyed.

Russian cuisine is known for being warm and comforting, perfect for cold weather. The Russian salad, also called Olivier salad, is made with potatoes, peas, carrots, and mayonnaise—it’s a staple in celebrations and gatherings. Beef Stroganoff, originally from 19th-century Russia, has become a famous dish around the world, with its creamy sauce and tender beef.

Did you know that Russia spans across 11 time zones and two continents? That’s why its cuisine has so many regional influences! Another fun fact—Napoleon cake, with its layers of puff pastry and cream, was named after the defeat of Napoleon, and it’s still one of the most loved desserts in the country.

Weekend Sun ☀️

Dear all,

The boys have had a lovely weekend here. The April Break is approaching incredibly fast so we made the most of the past few day as we could, and with the sun out and warm weather everywhere – it would have been rude not to! From weekend activities, Laser Tag, afternoon trips into Geneva, celebrating birthdays, and still (somehow!) plenty of energy afterwards for some playing games outside in the fresh evening air! It’s been a treat!
