During this school year, since the first week of school, our boys have volunteered to do some litter picking and clean up the surroundings of our school on a regular basis. In this picture, you can see some of the materials that have been picked up during our outings. These are all materials that can be recycled, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass bottles which we are now storing in our garden until the end of the school year. Another large part of the waste collected was non-recyclable material.
The boys have never been forced to participate in this initiative and have always adhered to this cause with great enthusiasm. We are talking about students between the ages of 10 and 12 who have spent an hour on community service almost every weekend without this being a punishment and without expecting any reward for it. A big thank you to Agastya, Richard, Jerry, and Kevin for making the difference and with great enthusiasm contribute to building a better world by doing what they can already do! Thank you boys… still a few weeks to go before the conclusion of our mission!
