Making Safe and Responsible Choices: Understanding Empathy

Dear all,

This evening we continued Wellbeing Pillar 5: Making Safe and Responsible Choices: Understanding Empathy

At the heart of making safe and responsible choices lies empathy — the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. This week, the session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of empathy as more than just a feeling, but as a powerful tool that helps build stronger relationships and communities. By truly stepping into someone else’s shoes, students learn to make choices that are kinder, safer, and more responsible.

Empathy is the first step toward creating a supportive environment where everyone feels seen and respected. It’s a skill worth practicing every day.

Thank you to Mr. Manu and Mrs. Sophie for their dedicated delivery of these lessons to the Junior Houses. The younger students, who need this guidance most during such a crucial stage of their lives, truly benefited from their efforts.

Japan Night 🍱🍜🥢

Dear all,

This evening we were priviliged to take a flavorful journey to Japan with a special Japan-themed International Dinner Night. The event let us experience the richness of Japanese cuisine and culture in a vibrant, festive setting. The atmosphere was lively and warm, with everyone sharing in the excitement and discovery.

The food was delicious and the themed evening a treat. So, it was a quick “itadakimasu” before the meal and a very quickl follow-up of “oishii!” to express just how tasty everything was.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. Arigatou gozaimashita! 🌸
