First Weekend!

Dear all,

Our first weekend in the boarding house was full of energy and laughter as students enjoyed a well-earned break from the busy first week. From movie nights and games to relaxed time outdoors, it was a great chance for everyone to bond, recharge, and start building a real sense of community. A trip into Geneva did not go too far amiss either! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming — a perfect start to the term!

First Assembly & Swiss International Dinner

Dear all,

Today, the CDB boys suited up in their blazers and attended their first Boarding Assembly of the year. Following that, we enjoyed our first International Dinner, featuring Switzerland. The boys paired their delicious meal with a fun and engaging quiz about Swiss culture—thoroughly enjoyed by all!

First Day Adventures!

Dear all,

After the hustle and bustle of the school day, the CDB boys still had plenty of energy to burn—and that’s always a great sign! It means they’re coming back from school energised and ready to enjoy the evening.

As we kicked off the first official week, we embraced the evening in true CDB style: a lively game of football, some mind-bending magic tricks courtesy of Mr Riccardo, and even a spontaneous “who can touch the ceiling” challenge (I just happened to walk by during this and was very confused!).

The night rounded off with an impromptu social gathering in the office, where all the boys came together to share stories, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company. A perfect start to the week – and to the year!

And So The Journey Begins!

Dear all,

This morning marked the official start of the school year!

It was an early rise for both new and returning students, but the boys embraced the day with a shared sense of excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead.

We wish them the very best as they begin this new chapter—with peace in their hearts, calm in their minds, hope in their spirits, and the gentle Autumn sun shining down to guide their way.

First cooking class in CDB: Italian pasta by Yaroslav and Riccardo

This evening, Riccardo and Yaroslav took over the kitchen to prepare a delicious pasta dish. It wasn’t just about cooking—it was a full Italian experience! With Italian music playing in the background, they learned about the different cooking times for various types of pasta, how a proper Italian boils it to perfection, and what makes a great sauce.

Riccardo was ready to go all in with the sauce, but Yaroslav preferred to keep things simple and went for plain pasta this time. Still, the result was tasty, and we all enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, the music, and the shared laughs around the table.

Let’s see what culinary adventure they’ll take us on next!

First outing to Geneva!

Today we went to Geneva with the Terray 27 girls for our first weekend outing of the school year—and what a fantastic way to start! We explored some of the city’s popular shopping spots: Decathlon, Fnac, and Manor, where everyone found something useful or fun to bring back.

But this is just the beginning. With many weekends ahead, we’re excited to keep discovering everything this amazing city has to offer. Geneva is so close to us, yet there’s always something new to see, taste, or experience.

To top off the day, we treated ourselves to some delicious Italian ice cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to a great first adventure in Geneva!

Let’s have some fun!

After collecting our school uniforms, PE clothes, and iPads, we headed out for an afternoon full of excitement and laughter. Together with the Terray 27 girls and other boarding houses, we had the chance to enjoy some amazing activities by Lake Léman and at Concha.

At the lake, the highlight was definitely the banana boat! We had so much fun riding the waves, holding on tight, and laughing as our new friends tumbled into the water with every twist and turn. It was a great way to bond and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Later at Concha, the fun continued with a series of energetic and hilarious activities. We tried sumo wrestling in inflatable costumes, battled it out in a tug of war on a bouncy surface, and rolled around in giant inflatable hamster balls. The whole afternoon was filled with smiles, teamwork, and lots of laughter.

It was a fantastic way to spend time with Terray 27 and meet students from other boarding houses. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!
