Saturday brought back our usual lineup of activities, allowing each student to dive into something they enjoy—whether staying active, socialising, or simply spending time outdoors. In the afternoon, the group headed into Geneva for a day trip. By the time we returned, the evening remained relaxed but full of laughter, stories, and that uniquely lively atmosphere that comes when the boys reconnect after shared experiences.

Sunday delivered the weekend’s biggest highlights. One group made their way to Gravity Park, where they spent the morning jumping, flipping, and burning off a lot of energy. Meanwhile, a second group set off toward La Tzoumaz for a full ski day, making the most of the winter conditions and the chance to be out on the slopes.

We are back from the Winter Break and looking forward to welcoming our students, as we begin the next chapter together into 2026! It’s great to reopen our doors and prepare for the energy, connection, and purpose that come with being together again.

We also had two special birthdays to celebrate! A big congratulations to Mana, who is stepping into teenage life and leaving childhood behind, and to the amazing Mr. Riccardo, whose dedication and positivity make such a difference every day. With cake, cheers, and heartfelt wishes, the night reminded us of what matters most to us here – each other.

This year’s Boarding Winter Ball was an incredible evening for everyone in CDB! The event brought our house and the CDL boarding community together for a night filled with laughter, music, dancing, and delicious food. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and shared moments on the dance floor—truly a celebration of the season and our community spirit.

A huge thank you to Mike and the entire team who worked hard behind the scenes to make this event such a success. We also want to appreciate everyone who spent time with the students, ensuring they had a memorable and enjoyable evening. Your efforts made all the difference!

The festive spirit is alive and well at Champs-des-Bois! From joyful winter concerts that filled the air with music, to the traditional breaking of the Escalade marmite—a sweet reminder of Geneva’s rich history—our community has embraced every moment. Primary students added a cozy twist with Pajama Day, bringing laughter and warmth to the season. These celebrations have been a wonderful way to come together, share traditions, and create lasting memories as we head into the holidays.

Tonight, we had the absolute pleasure of attending the CDL Boarding Awards Ceremony – and what a night it was for Champs-des-Bois! Our boys truly shone and represented the House with pride and spirit.

We are thrilled to share the fantastic achievements of our students:

• Paul-David – Winner of the Boarding Life Award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to our boarding community.
• Mikito – Winner of the Activities Award, for his enthusiasm and commitment to extracurricular life.
• Chika and Mana– Winners of the Academic Awards for Grades 6 and 7, celebrating their hard work and dedication to learning.

The pride we feel as a House is immense. These achievements reflect not only their individual efforts but also the supportive and vibrant environment we strive to create together. A huge congratulations to these lads for doing so well and making themselves – and all of us – proud.
