This weekend, the boys had a wonderful time with a mix of fun activities!

Mana, Kimi, Jin, and Ethan got busy in the kitchen, cooking up some tasty dishes and enjoying themselves. On the tennis court, Xingyu and Ethan had fun improving their skills. Donny spent his time outdoors, getting into the garden and taking care of the plants.

The Cube Challenge also brought out a lot of energy and teamwork, where they worked together to solve fun physical and mental challenges. Mana, Kimi, Jin, Xingyu, and Paul David had a lot of fun! It was a weekend full of laughter, creativity, and friendly competition!

Today, we had the pleasure of sharing Iranian food for dinner. Our meal included Tahchin, a delicious saffron-infused rice cake, Lamb Shank, slow-cooked, and for dessert, Sholezard, a sweet rice pudding. It was a great way to experience the flavors of Persian cuisine.

Iranian food is known for its rich spices, slow-cooked dishes, and love for ingredients like saffron, pomegranates, and nuts. Rice plays a big role in Persian cuisine, with different techniques and styles used to create beautifully layered dishes like Tahchin.

Did you know that Iran is the world’s largest producer of saffron? This precious spice, also called “red gold,” is a key ingredient in many Iranian dishes, giving them their unique aroma and color. Another fun fact—Persian cuisine is one of the oldest in the world, with recipes and traditions dating back thousands of years!

Tonight at 7:30 PM, Collège du Léman football team faced off against Collège Champittet in our sports hall. Jin, Mana, and Xingyu didn’t want to miss it, so we headed over to watch the first two halves of the match.

They were super passionate, cheering loudly for every goal our team scored—and even celebrating the great plays from the opposing team!

After the match, we headed back to Champs des Bois to get ready for tomorrow’s formative tests. A little bit of football, a little bit of studying—sounds like a balanced evening to us! 💪📖

Once again, we’re so happy to have Manamitsu as part of Champs des Bois! This week, he took part in the recording of the Healthy Bodies and Minds video, a project focused on the importance of nutrition and overall well-being.

The video covers key topics like:
🥗 Understanding calories and portion sizes
💧 Making healthy food choices and staying hydrated

It’s amazing to see our students getting involved in initiatives like this from such a young age, helping to spread awareness about health and well-being across Collège du Léman.

CDL hosted a spectacular Performing Arts Evening today, showcasing the incredible talents of our students, including our very own M. The event was a brilliant celebration of music, drama, and creativity, truly highlighting the dedication and artistry of these young performers.

A huge well done to M for an outstanding performance and to all the wonderfully talented students who took to the stage. A special thank you to Ms Picasso and the entire Performing Arts Team for their hard work in organising and hosting such a memorable evening!

Today, we had the pleasure of having Argentine food. On the menu, we had Ensalada Criolla, a fresh mix of tomatoes, onions, and peppers, followed by a hearty Guiso Criollo de Beef, a traditional stew packed with rich flavors. To finish, we enjoyed a classic Flan with Dulce de Leche.

Did you know that Argentina is home to the widest avenue in the world? Avenida 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires has up to 12 lanes in some parts! Another fun fact—Argentina is one of the biggest consumers of beef per capita, with people eating around 45 kg per year on average.

The boys had a great time this weekend, taking a well-deserved break from school before jumping into their activities. The highlights included some of their favorites, like cooking and tennis, as well as a visit to Jumpspot in Lausanne, which they enjoyed as the winner’s prize for the November Fitness Challenge. They also went hiking, explored the shops in both Versoix and Geneva, and had a blast playing Loup Garou at the house. After a fun-filled weekend, they’re feeling refreshed and ready to take on the week ahead!

Last night in Champs des Bois, we played Loup Garou (also known as Werewolf), a game of mystery, strategy, and a bit of deception! Players take on different roles—villagers, werewolves, and special characters—while trying to figure out who the werewolves are before they take over the village.

At first, the rules were a bit confusing, but once we got the hang of it, the game became super exciting! Special shoutout to Kimi, who was an amazing narrator. 🐺🌕
