Argentinian Dinner!

Dear all,

Today, we had the pleasure of having Argentine food. On the menu, we had Ensalada Criolla, a fresh mix of tomatoes, onions, and peppers, followed by a hearty Guiso Criollo de Beef, a traditional stew packed with rich flavors. To finish, we enjoyed a classic Flan with Dulce de Leche.

Did you know that Argentina is home to the widest avenue in the world? Avenida 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires has up to 12 lanes in some parts! Another fun fact—Argentina is one of the biggest consumers of beef per capita, with people eating around 45 kg per year on average.

Hopping-Mad for the Weekend!

Dear all,

The boys had a great time this weekend, taking a well-deserved break from school before jumping into their activities. The highlights included some of their favorites, like cooking and tennis, as well as a visit to Jumpspot in Lausanne, which they enjoyed as the winner’s prize for the November Fitness Challenge. They also went hiking, explored the shops in both Versoix and Geneva, and had a blast playing Loup Garou at the house. After a fun-filled weekend, they’re feeling refreshed and ready to take on the week ahead!

Path to Adventure

Dear all,

Today, we had the pleasure of hiking in Monts Jura, the closest mountains to our school, just a 15-minute drive away.

Ethan and Xingyu both really enjoyed the hike, though they admitted they were a bit tired at the end — which makes sense, since they gained 250 meters of elevation over 6.4 km.

Along the way, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the Jura forests. We also walked by the Le Jourmans river for a few kilometers and stopped to enjoy the view of a beautiful waterfall. If the weather is good & I’m sure we’ll go on many more hikes like this.

Loup Garou Madness: Who can you trust?

Dear all,

Last night in Champs des Bois, we played Loup Garou (also known as Werewolf), a game of mystery, strategy, and a bit of deception! Players take on different roles—villagers, werewolves, and special characters—while trying to figure out who the werewolves are before they take over the village.

At first, the rules were a bit confusing, but once we got the hang of it, the game became super exciting! Special shoutout to Kimi, who was an amazing narrator. 🐺🌕

Stay Cool, Read a Book!

Dear all,

Once again, like every week, we all took some time to sit down, relax, and enjoy our favorite books for 30 minutes. It’s a simple moment, but an important one! 📖

For us, reading isn’t just about books—it helps us slow down before bed time, focus, and let our imagination run wild. That’s why we’ve made it part of our weekly routine. Some of the kids like reading about an exciting adventure, a mystery, or even science books that they seem to enjoy very much. 🔬

If you need an advise from an expert, my book for this week was Angels & Demons!

Mexican Dinner!

Dear all,

Today, we had Mexican food at CDL. The meal included corn tacos with beef, nachos with guacamole, pico de gallo, and a side of red beans with corn. It was so tasty!

Did you know that corn has been a staple in Mexican food for over 9,000 years? It’s not just used for tacos but also for tamales, tortillas, and even drinks like atole. Another fun fact—pico de gallo, the fresh salsa we had, means “rooster’s beak” in Spanish! Some say the name comes from the way people used to pinch the ingredients with their fingers, like a bird pecking.

From Newcomers to Confident Boarders

Dear all,

One of the best parts of boarding life is watching our boys grow and become more independent. Little by little, they learn to manage their time, take care of their belongings, and make their own decisions.

Evening prep helps them stay organized, daily routines teach them responsibility, and small tasks like helping at cleaning and tidying up bring everyone together.

It’s amazing to see their progress throughout the year. Whether they are new to Boarding  Life or have been with us for years—like Donny, Jin, Kimi, Mana or Chika—they grow and change so much. They develop new skills, gain confidence, and become completely different people in the best possible way.

Welcome Back to the Adventure: Champs des Bois!

Dear all,

This weekend, we slowly got back into the swing of things at Champs des Bois. The boys started returning from the holidays one by one—on Friday, we had Donny, Ethan, and Kimi back in the house. On Saturday, Jin, Xingyu, Nuttakit, and Paul David joined, and today, Chika and Mana returned from their trip with their agent.

It’s been a calm weekend, and everyone has been sharing stories about how much fun they had during the break. Now, we’re all recharged and ready to jump back into the routine! 💪
