The Unscramble Game
This weekend there was a house game called unscrambler, where students must figure out words that are all jumbled up. The words that the students unscramble are words representing CDL’s values and words related to life in boarding, such as: “internationalism” or “wellbeing”. All in all, the students were able to gather and enjoy different activities offered this weekend.
Your turn?
The Last Weekend Of Summer!
This weekend at CDL, our Leman students had the opportunity to dive into a dynamic range of sporting activities, thoughtfully organized by our dedicated CDL staff. Whether they were seasoned athletes or simply looking to try something new, there was something for everyone.
Tennis sessions offered a chance to refine technique and enjoy friendly matches under the guidance of experienced coaches. Students practiced their serves, volleys, and footwork, all while soaking up the late summer sun on our beautiful courts.
Climbing proved to be a thrilling challenge, encouraging students to push their limits both physically and mentally. With harnesses secured and safety briefings in place, they tackled various climbing routes, building confidence and camaraderie along the way.
Boxing was a standout for those seeking a high-energy workout. Under professional supervision, students learned basic stances, punches, and combinations, all while improving their fitness, discipline, and focus. It was a great way to channel energy and build resilience.
These sporting events not only promoted physical health but also fostered teamwork, perseverance, and a sense of achievement. Whether scaling walls, sparring in the ring, or rallying on the court, our students embraced the spirit of challenge and fun.

The final game of the Tournament!
What a match! The annual showdown between the Staff and Team Leman delivered everything we hoped for passion, intensity, and non-stop action from kickoff to the final whistle.
The Leman boys came out swinging, showing heart, hustle, and incredible teamwork. Every goal they scored sparked energy through the crowd, and they battled fiercely until the very end. But this year, the Staff came prepared and determined. With sharp passes, clever plays, and relentless pressure, they managed to edge out the win in a thrilling 7–4 victory.
Massive respect to both sides for putting on such an electric performance. Team Leman — your effort and spirit were nothing short of inspiring. Staff – enjoy the win… but don’t get too comfortable. The rematch is already on our minds.
Thank you to all the players who made this match unforgettable. Same time next year — we’re ready!

Runners vs Riders
In an exciting showdown between speed and endurance, the Riders vs Runners race ended with a clear victory for the riders. Held over a challenging mixed-terrain course, both teams pushed their limits, but the riders’ speed and efficiency on the straights and hills proved unbeatable. Despite a strong showing from the runners, who displayed incredible stamina and grit, the riders crossed the finish line several minutes ahead, claiming the win and sparking friendly debate about who truly rules the road.
Chamonix Day Trip
Hunter and Jason set off on an unforgettable day trip to Chamonix, blessed with absolutely perfect weather. The sun was blazing, the sky a flawless blue without a single cloud in sight, and the air was alive with the energy of summer. Their adventure began with a thrilling ride up the cable car to the summit of the Aiguille du Midi, where they were greeted with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding Alpine peaks. The Flavours and Tastes of Japan!
This week, as part of the ongoing International Dinner programme, the boys were taken to Japan through the delicious cooking done by our dining staff! Juicy chicken skewers, fluffy rice and sauteed vegetables were on the menu, as were crunchy and protein-packed edamame beans. This dinner gave the boys an opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and flavour profiles from the comfort of our dining room, spending time and conversing with their peers whilst enjoying some good food and fuelling up for upcoming exams.
Happy Birthday Fede!
Formula E trip!
Cheickna and Domiciano went on an IBCP to Monaco to watch the Formula E, here what Cheickna had to say:
Friday:
We went on a plane, and the flight took about 40 minutes. After landing, we took a train and then walked to the hotel. Once we arrived, we split into two groups: one group visited a museum, while the other participated in “Girls on Track.”
The museum had a classic theme, with cars displayed on the walls and on the ground. Their history was shown on electronic tablets. Afterwards, we went to a restaurant that used electronic tablets instead of traditional menus. Later in the evening, we visited the beach.
Saturday:
We went to watch the Grand Prix. Later, we dined at the Café de Paris in the city of Gaya.
Happy Birthday Cheickna!!
A Spring Weekend on Campus
This spring weekend on campus was full of energy and good vibes, with tons of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. The tennis and badminton courts were packed with students playing casual matches, while others gathered around the football pitch to cheer on their friends in some exciting games. Karate sessions added a bit of action and flair, and for those wanting to make a difference, groups of students went around campus picking up rubbish to help keep the place clean. There was even some climbing for the thrill-seekers looking for a bit of adventure. All in all, it was a lively weekend that brought people together and made the most of the sunny weather.
24 HOUR Running Challenge!
From the weekend of 17th to 18th May, our boarding staff and students will undertake a significant challenge. Over the course of 24 hours, they will run continuously, day and night, to raise awareness and funds in support of the fight against cancer.

International Dinner: Russia!
Tonight’s international dinner was a true celebration of Russian cuisine! We indulged in a flavorful spread that included hearty Beef Stroganoff, delicate salmon puff pastry, a classic Russian salad, some good soup, and the show-stopping Napoleon layered cake. Every dish was a delightful journey through rich tradition and comforting flavors. It was a memorable evening filled with warmth, culture, and truly delicious food!
Boarders vs Day Students Basketball Game
In a thrilling and hard-fought basketball game between our Boarders and Day students, the spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition that defines our CDL community was on full display.
Though the Boarders gave it their all, it was the Day students who clinched victory with a nail-biting 26–22 win at the final buzzer!
A huge thank you to Ms Perrine and Coach T for organising such an exciting and energetic event, it was a joy to watch and a fantastic celebration of school spirit!
Boarding Climbing Cup
This climbing tournament was completely different from the previous one. We were given 2 hours to climb as many boulders as we could and mark them on paper. On the other hand, in the last tournament, we had to climb the boulders assigned to us in order. This tournament made me realize that strategy is also an important part of climbing competitions. I loved the energy and seeing new faces in our climbing community. I hope the next climbing tournament will be as competitive and energetic as this one. I also give my compliments to Mr. Rodrigo, Mr. Zach, and Mr. Xavi.
