This afternoon our boys organised a charity fundraising event in order to raise money for the Tomas Costa Appeal. This money will go towards purchasing vein finders for children whilst they are in treatment. Tomas Costa is the son of our former House Parent, Ricardo Costa. Tomas was diagnosed with Leukaemia and is currently in maintenance.
“The Concha Run” was a challenge that the students created in order to raise money for this charity, and also to physically challenge themselves. Their target was to see how many times they could run around the Concha running track. One lap of the track is approximately 500m.
The boys were excellent, and ran several laps of the track each. Sebastian was the standout performer, managing to run 20 laps of the track, which is 10 kilometres.
We are very proud of all of the boys, and very proud that they have managed to raise money towards a cause that is so close to CDL’s heart.
WELL DONE BOYS!!!
