Melissa and Paulina’s Adventures in Tanzania and ZanzibarπŸŒπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ

During their spring break, Melissa and Paulina embarked on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania and Zanzibar as part of a school trip. Their experiences were filled with meaningful activities and cultural immersion.

In Tanzania, they contributed to community projects, such as helping at a construction site for Dolly Bush Primary School and installing solar panels for local families. They also had thrilling wildlife encounters during a safari, getting up close to elephants, zebras, and more.

Their adventure continued in Zanzibar, where they enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, visiting Disappearing Island and the Blue Lagoon, and exploring Stone Town. They also had the opportunity to learn about spice farming and indulge in delicious local cuisine.

As their spring break comes to an end, Melissa and Paulina return home with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures and natural wonders of Tanzania and Zanzibar. 🌊🌞 #SpringBreakAdventures #TanzaniaZanzibarExploration

Welcome Back, New Portena Girls! 🌺

As spring blooms around us, we warmly welcome all the New Portena girls back from their enriching spring break adventures. Some of our girls enjoyed the school trip and explored the wonders of Tanzania and lounged on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. It’s clear that unforgettable memories were made.

With the last exams on the horizon and university beckoning for some, these final weeks are a blend of anticipation and reflection. With only 10 weeks until summer, let’s savor every moment of this vibrant season together. Here’s to cherishing the remaining days of spring, and of this year’s New Portena Journey. 🌸

A very original and unusual weekend in New Portena πŸ‹πŸΌπŸ₯ž

We are truly proud of Sayuri and Mei mei who took care of their mental and physical health by engaging in outdoor workouts as well as of Gergana and Ana Karina who offered their very precious help during the International Cooking Evening, which took place last Friday.
The aim of this activity was to involve students in preparing traditional meals of countries different from their own, that could match well: what winning combination better than a dessert with beneficial fruit and chocolate chip complemented by a hot golden milk which reigns supreme for a healthy, healing and anti-inflammatory Indian drink (and bonus… it is super delicious)?

New Portena Girls March for Women’s Rights!

This Sunday, March 10th, our New Portena girls came together to mark International Women’s Day. They marched around Versoix, standing up for women’s rights and equality. Their unity and determination echoed the spirit of empowerment celebrated on this special day. Together, they marched for a brighter future for all women. βœŠπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ #WomensRights #Solidarity

“What would you tell your 10 year-old self?”

During one of our House meetings we have asked the students “What would you tell your 10 year-old self?” and their answers have been so incredibly interesting that Giuliana and Gergana want to tell you 🎀
