Happy Birthday Gigi ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’“

Dear Gigi,

You brought a shine of light in the middle of the academic year, by coming to Collรจge du Lรฉman, with your great desire to discover the school, make friendships and attend a lot of activities such as yoga, pilates, horse riding, crochet club and drama club.

Since yesterday we had the pleasure to celebrate your special day, we want to extend to you our warmest wishes for a Happy Birthday.

Boarding House Photo Competition: “Home at CDL” ๐Ÿ“ธ

At New Portena, the theme for this yearโ€™s photo competition was “Home at CDL.” Our entry captured a beloved tradition: every Wednesday, Ms. Fana makes us pancakes, a ritual that has become a cherished part of our New Portena family. This weekly event not only fills our stomachs but also warms our hearts, perfectly embodying our sense of home at CDL. ๐Ÿฅžโค๏ธ

Here’s to celebrating the little moments that make our boarding house truly special! ๐ŸŒŸ

Trip to Porto, dog sitting and Luna Park… What a full interesting weekend! ๐Ÿคฉ

Since there was no school today, the girls had more time to engage in activities they enjoy:

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น Lulu, Ashley and Vladi went to Porto for a school weekend trip and they visited Coimbra, Aveiro, Rio Douro and Gaia;

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ•ย Hanna pursued her passion for animals by meeting two other lovely dogs, Preyston and Wendy;

๐ŸŽข Meli, Yufei, Adela, Bice and Mei Mei went to Luna Park for a fun-filled day.

Exploring Venice with Yufei ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Our very own Yufei had a blast over the Ascension weekend, joining the school trip to Venice. ๐Ÿ›ถ

After the arrival at Venice airport, the students strolled through the city and had a tasty pizza dinner. The next day, they explored Doge’s Palace, enjoyed lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, and had free time to take in Venetian sights, including gondola rides. On the third day, the students also visited Murano Island to witness glassmaking, and explored Fenice Theater. They ended this final day with shopping and dinner.

An unforgettable adventure filled with culture, history, and fun! โœจ

Bice’s birthday ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‚

During these years Bice has become an important community member for everyone around her. As we have celebrated her birthday a few days ago, we wish to take a moment to reflect on all the memories we have shared together: since when she arrived at Collรจge du Lรฉman until this year when she has joined the National Honor Society.

Once again, Happy Birthday, dear Bice ๐Ÿ˜˜

Discovering new passions ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿคฉ

We are incredibly proud of our students for eagerly diving into new activities and discovering passions they never knew they could have had. Ana Cristina, Pau, and Camila’s excitement after one of their first art club activities is indeed truly heartwarming.

Moreover, witnessing Gergana discovering boxing as a new passion and watching at her eyes shining while saying “I will always go” speaks volume about the importance of trying something new and reminds us the power of stepping outside our comfort zone.

Princess Birthday ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿผ

CDL International Day ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด

What an amazing International Day there has been last Friday in Collรจge du Lรฉman.

Most of the credit goes to students for the excellent organisation and commitment in starting days before to prepare excellent food of their countries: Brazilian brigadeiros, pao de queijo, empadinhas and coxinha; Bulgarian pogacha; Chinese liang mian and much more.

There has also been a lot of fun drawing their countries’ flags and expressions of affection on each other’s faces.

Melissa and Paulina’s Adventures in Tanzania and Zanzibar๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ

During their spring break, Melissa and Paulina embarked on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania and Zanzibar as part of a school trip. Their experiences were filled with meaningful activities and cultural immersion.

In Tanzania, they contributed to community projects, such as helping at a construction site for Dolly Bush Primary School and installing solar panels for local families. They also had thrilling wildlife encounters during a safari, getting up close to elephants, zebras, and more.

Their adventure continued in Zanzibar, where they enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, visiting Disappearing Island and the Blue Lagoon, and exploring Stone Town. They also had the opportunity to learn about spice farming and indulge in delicious local cuisine.

As their spring break comes to an end, Melissa and Paulina return home with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures and natural wonders of Tanzania and Zanzibar. ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒž #SpringBreakAdventures #TanzaniaZanzibarExploration
