Most of the girls are back and New Portena House has come to life again:
the corridors echo with laughters and the common rooms fill with stories from many experiences. It is like all the missing puzzle pieces are going to be back in place. The whole New Portena House puzzle will be finally complete next week when all the girls will be back.
Welcome back! We are so happy to have you here again ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’

New Portena Christmas Party ๐Ÿฅณ and Secret Santa gifts exchange ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’

Yesterday evening we organized a Boarding House Christmas Party including Secret Santa gifts exchange ๐ŸŽ: indeed during the last weeks New Portena girls made a list of the gift they wished to receive and yesterday they got them. This has been a wonderful way to strengthen their bonds.

Have a look at this video where our students wish Merry Christmas to everyone in their own language. ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy holidays girls, we wish all of you to spend wonderful moments during this break and get from New Year everything you desire! ๐ŸŒ

Winter Ball ๐ŸŽถโœจ

Last Saturday December 09 all the students from Collรจge du Lรฉman went to the Hilton hotel in Geneva to join the Winter Ball, an elegant event to celebrate all together the first months of the academic year as well as the end of 2023.

During this night filled with shiny lights and smart attire all the New Portena students had a lot of fun. ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Smashing the Marmite

To celebrate the Escalade, one of the oldest traditions in Geneva, we come together to “Smash the Marmite”. According to the tradition, the smashing should be done by the youngest and oldest person in the room and when doing it, they should pronounce “ainsi pรฉrissent less enemmis de la rรฉpublique”.

Well done to Lily and Melissa for this powerful smashing!

Gnocchi day ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Promoting internationalism among students is important for us to let the girls know about other cultures and traditions. Having a big House with girls from seventeen nationalities is a great opportunity to involve them in activities that can enrich them.

Before the Winter holidays, we have decided to have a convivial moment all together: we kneaded gnocchi dough, cooked, and ate together. Special thanks to Gergana for making also original hearth-shaped gnocchi ๐Ÿคฉ
