Another great week-end for the CDL community !
For the ones going skiing, the weather was amazing. Our girls went to La Tzoumaz or Les Crosets resorts.

On campus, things were busy, as our students got to choose between different activities such as yoga, cooking, tennis, or science clubs. And we had a lovely dinner for Valentine’s Day tonight !

Tonight we have celebrated Chinese New Year. It was lovely to share traditional Chinese food in the dining hall and was a great moment to enjoy our Asian students culture.

Tonight, as every wednesday, we had our house assembly. And, as you know, we cannot gather all houses together for now, so we once again had our montly boarding assembly in-house. Mr Usher, our boarding director, was the master of ceremony. We had a workshop on peer pressure, interviews (Alex and Emma explained what they did for the CDL change the world action), announcements… And Betty, Alina and Valentina made presentations about toxic friendships and long-distance friendships.

It has been a wonderful weekend in the mountains under the orange sky. We finished the day with marshmallows, too much nutella and a lot of fun XD.

Yesterday, Olga K, Gabriela, Ana Carolina, Stacy and Akmaral went skiing in the beautiful resort of Leysin. It was snowing (a lot !) and we had a lovely time together !

As part of her wellbeing pillar number 3, Noor had a great idea for the Villa du Lac. She offered her housemates the opportunity to write compliments to anyone to the house, anonymously, and she read the papers out loud during the assembly. It was so heart warming, we decided to keep the box available in the office until the end of the school year.

This weekend we have enjoyed the first day of ski of the season. Our girls had a lot of fun and learned a lot in Villars for the beginners and in Leysin the most advanced. Definitely, looking forward to the next one!
