We just got back from Planeta Rodizio, a brazilian restaurant. We had such a great time, it was really nice to show all my housemates the cuisine of Brazil. I loved the food, especially the meat and it makes me really happy to know that my housemates enjoyed it too. I would like to thank Romolo for this great night, we are all so grateful to you!

A sporting success
A tasty brunch.
This weekend we went to brunch and saw that what Mr Usher had said about our meals improving was true – the brunch as we had known it is now not existing!
First, now , instead of coming for brunch at an appointed time you can come at any time you want between 9.30 and 11.30. Also, the menu had totally changed – instead of just a few dishes there was a huge variety of different foods and desserts.
It was very amazing and tasty!
The boys are back in town!
We are back! The boys have all returned from what seems to have been a very enjoyable break. It’s hard to believe that a week has passed already and the February break is already within sight (not that anybody is counting)!
The boys are now back in to the swing of things, we are all looking forward to some enjoyable activities and rewarding high grades in school this marking period!

Happy Birthday Aslan!!!
Christmas holidays
The boys have all made it safely away from a snowy Geneva and will now be spending some well earned time at home. It’s just me and Frosty the snowman here now, and soon I will be leaving him in soul charge when I go to Chamonix to enjoy my own holidays!
I hope all the boys and their families have a delightful time over the next three weeks. Whatever you chose to celebrate, a family get-together is always reason for cheer!
Have a great time and I look forward to seeing everybody again (with the possible exception of Frosty) in 2013!

Last supper!
We welcome Mr Maluen, our new tutor and we are saying goodbye to Mr. Waters. We will miss him with his FIFA skills!
Today we went out for Pizza near our house, we enjoyed it and we hope we will be doing it again soon. Thank you Romolo for everything!
In the photo below we are near our X-Mas tree. We are looking forward to our amazingly good vacation! See you soon!
Christmas dance
This weekend we had our Christmas dance in a nice hotel in Geneva, it was very interesting and funny. I liked the music,it was a great evening! We don’t have any photos yet, but we will put some on the blog soon.
I have been living in Champs de Bois for three weeks now. It’s very big and comfortable and the guys are very friendly, its excellent!
Awards ceremony
Tonight was our awards ceremony to mark the end of the first marking period of the school year.
Huge congratulations are due to three of our house:
- Alexey Baryshev was given a medal for his eagerness to participate in as many extra curricular activities as he can squeeze around his studies.
- Mauro Yin was given a medal for his excellent attitude towards boarding life.
- Vladimir Rebrik was awarded the prize for the best academic performance in Champs des Bois.
I should also add that these are just three snippets of lots of great stuff the boys are achieving in Champs des Bois. I am constantly impressed by their ability to keep up with the busy social, sporting, artistic and of course academic schedules that are asked of them at CdL.
Well done boys – great job!
Changing seasons
Today the first thing I heard in the morning was the sound of drops of rain hitting the trees. We are in the beginning of winter, so as you can see in the pictures the leaves are starting to fall from the trees. Fortunately in a couple of weeks it is going to snow, and I hope that Champ Des Bois will have a SNOWBALL FIGHT!
