Daniel, Fanbo and Fanyang’s Trip To Ticino 🇨🇭

Some of the kids went on the Léman Bike Journey, but Daniel, Fanbo and Fanyang went on a cultural trip to Ticino, the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland!

On Saturday, they explored Lugano’s cultural highlights with a guided tour, visited historic sites, and enjoyed free time in the city. A boat ride to Melide took them to Swissminiatur and a spontaneous go-kart session in the rain. The day ended with a pizza dinner and gelato for dessert. On Sunday, they enjoyed the panoramic views from Monte Brè and an impressive falcon show in Locarno. To finish the day, they spend some free time at Splash & Spa Tenero. On Monday, they returned to Geneva via Zurich, coming back home with tons of memories and stories to share with us.

The Léman Journey Has Come To An End 🏁

Today, the Concha Middle Schoolers came back from the Léman Journey. Though exhausting, it was definitely a memorable weekend they will remember with nostalgia for many many years. They got to see two countries, take pictures near breathtaking lakes and mountain spots and create bonds with other children and House Parents.

Will they join this project next year? To be fair, they looked knackered, but at the same time, they admitted it was a very rewarding experience that made them live something different with the friends they had made at CDL. Let’s see what happens next year!

Concha stars! ✨

They made it to Evian-les-Bains, where this high-quality water is produced!

Quiet Sunday Evening Walk 🚶‍♂️

The weekend has been feeling a bit long, that is the reason why Mr Tarun had the wonderful idea of taking some of the kids out for an evening walk. As he grew up in the area, he showed us great places around Versoix woods which are easy to access from the town itself. There are quite a few great spots for pictures, quiet plans or morning runs. We could get to see the sunset, disconnect a bit and have nice chats altogether. 🤩

Look at this crew!

The sun started going down…

Guess who asked for a selfie… 🤳🏻

What was going on here that everyone was so smiley? 🤔

Tennis Fever 🎾

Over the weekend, João, Henrique and Eduardo gave tennis a try after some time without playing this sport. It turns out they had a blast and are looking forward to joining this weekend activity again soon!

Come on, hit it Edu!

It’s yours, João!

Get it, Henrique!
