The Daily Fitness Challenge continues…….

The Concha lads have continued to show excellent determination throughout the daily fitness challenge. Activities have involved sit ups, planks, skipping with a rope, badminton, tennis, running and gymnastics. We also challenged the students to a sugar-free day on Thursday 20th May. A massive congratulations to Ayu, Liam, Owen and Bernardo who have won some of the challenges (against all the other Boarding students from other Houses). All the boys have done brilliantly.

May Fitness Challenge

Every day this month, we will have a different fitness challenge for our Boarding community. So far, there have been challenges for press ups, running, walking, basketball, gymnastics and much more. We were delighted to see Bernardo win the challenge of the day for how many jumping jacks you can do in 30 seconds, and Liam won one of the days for the most steps – a staggering 23,016!! The Concha boys have loved taking part in all the different challenges so far and we will post more updates throughout the month. Well done all.

Visit to Nyon Castle

Sunday afternoon saw more amazing weather for a trip to Nyon castle. We were able to see some absolutely stunning views. We also got the opportunity to spend some time by the lake which was very peaceful and greatly appreciated.

Weekend activities

We were lucky to have the sun shining this weekend for all the wonderful activities and trips for our students. This weekend, the Concha boys enjoyed golf, tennis, badminton, running, cooking and chess. We were also able to take them to our gym on campus on Friday evening.

Wellbeing Pillar 5 – Making safe and responsible choices

With the opening of the final term of this year we enter as well in our final Wellbeing Pillar.

This Pillar has the peculiarity of embodying all the teachings and lessons from the previous ones and reaches out for something that is and will always in our lives.

Making responsible choices is certainly one of the most challenging things in one’s life and it is not always an easy task.

Students are faced with the overwhelming responsibility of making choices which may affect forever (or for a long time) their lives… and often a lot of pondering, maturing and reflection is needed. Then these choices may prove to be right or wrong and it is our job as individuals to be ready to face it, take on the consequences and eventually learn from these situations. Let’s face it… sometimes what seemed to be the best choice, happens not to be. It’s life.

These will be the key take-away points for this Pillar:
• The ESSENCE of teen brain and the science behind decision making process
• Consequences
• Self-discipline

Students will be given only two choices for their Individual Projects. They will have to
join either:
• The discipline revolution project, or
• The happiness project

More information will follow.

Weekend activities

The Concha boys have enjoyed so many amazing activities this weekend including; woodcraft, tennis, badminton, table tennis, cooking, biking and horse riding. We also has special activities such as laser tag and the treasure hunt organised for the students. The boys had a fun weekend and some of them even got the opportunity to visit Geneva.
