Another Week, Another Reading Club Monday ๐Ÿ“–

As every Monday, our Middle Schoolers gathered with us in the living room to read some pages of their current literary obsessions. They also have to write their progress in their reading diaries, as well as those words they do not know. Among these, yesterday we could find divergence, zeal or hacienda. Every week they learn some new words that leave us speechless!

There Is Always Something Going On! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

The Concha Boys had a busy long weekend. There was more time than usual, as they could enjoy of some days off due to Ascension Day, which took place right before the weekend arrived. Once they were done with their homework, they joined some weekend boarding activities – including cycling, wakeboarding and golf – as well as went to Geneva to spend some quality time together, eating at their favourite restaurants and do some shopping.

All in all a productive long weekend!

Football Night โšฝ๏ธ

Since the grand final was announced, the Concha boys knew they had to do something together. The kids have been organising this for a couple days and it went very well! They gathered in the living room and brought some snacks and drinks, including Mexican burritos and Spanish omelette, which they prepared with the help of Mr Manu.

It was an exciting match and even if some of them were not particularly happy with the result, the truth is they enjoyed it anyway, as they were together creating more boarding life moments.

A Perfect Sunny Friday In The Concha Garden โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿก

June is almost here and that means good weather is coming up!

The Concha pool is finally open, so the kids took advantage of this opportunity to have a swim with their friends and sunbathe while listening to their favourite songs and chatting. They also got some snacks to make this ideal plan even better. But not only did they go to the swimming pool, other kids decided to stick to sports after studying, or simply enjoy the breeze and good temperature outside while having an iced tea. These kids know how to have fun!

Seussical Time! ๐ŸŽถ

Today, the Middle Schoolers went to beautiful Nyon to see “Seussical JR”, this year’s CDL musical production.

This year, selected talented students have come up with a imaginative musical that brings Dr. Seussโ€™s world to life. From the Jungle of Nool to the tiny town of Whoville, the Concha boys were impressed by the catchy tunes, storytelling and unforgettable characters like the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, and JoJo the Thinker. CDL’s Performing Arts Programme provides our students with a rich, world-class arts education, offering them access to professional expertise and inspiring opportunities to grow as confident performers.

The kids had a blast and, as they came back home quite hungry, we had some time to have dinner together while discussing our favourite moments of the musical!

Busy Weekend For The Concha Boys โ˜€๏ธ

As the good weather is coming up, the Concha kids take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to go out and carry out plans they cannot normally do during colder times.

As usual, they went to their weekend activities – this week they mainly joined wakeboard, golf and climbing – and enjoyed some sunny Geneva time with their friends, eating their favourite meals in some of the best spots in town and buying things they were craving. All in all, a funny weekend to kick off the good weather season!

DJs On The International Day! ๐ŸŽง๐ŸŒ

Today, it was the International Day at school, where all the kids got to celebrate their diverse backgrounds by bringing flags and decorations from their countries of origin as well as some food for everyone (students, teachers and staff) to try.

There was also music, played by our favourite Concha DJs, Emir and Eduardo, with the help of the best assistants they could have asked for, Joao and Henrique. They nailed it and everyone absolutely loved their performance!

You can tell Emir takes DJing seriously!

Cena Italiana A Casa ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

This month’s dinner at home took us to Italy, whose delicious food always leaves the kids wanting to repeat!

The Concha boys got the opportunity to have a mouth-watering lasagna and some salad. Also, they drank some peach ice tea and had some tiramisu for dessert. All of us enjoyed this moment as we could sit in the garden and chat while having a tasty meal. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

Calm Study Hall On A Rainy Sunday ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

It is true that the weather has generally been great this weekend but, unfortunately, Sunday evening is being a bit rainy. Today, the kids spent some free time in the afternoon outdoors, playing some sports in the Concha garden or simply enjoying some time off around Versoix. Some of them gathered in the living room to study together, finish work projects and spend some quality time before the start of the new week.
