Happy Lunar New Year!

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional Chinese holiday celebrated by Chinese people. It marks the beginning of the lunar new year. People visit temples to pray for good fortune and exchange red envelopes containing money for luck. It means the start of a new year, new beginnings, and the hope for prosperity and good luck in the coming year. – Michael.

High School Music Show Case

Tonight we were able to enjoy the concert organised with the Music students. It started with the Grade 10 and IG2 students opening the concert with the song Bodago Bay by John Montgomery, then other students participated playing different instruments such as the piano, violin, saxophone, even an Oboe. Between these solos, we could see Samuel playing the song Vang Gogh by Virginio Aiello, a real pleasure.

Weekend on Campus

While Grades 11 and 12 were enjoying Crans Montana, Leman’s Grade 10s stayed on Campus and enjoyed some great activities. This weekend they were able to improve their skills in sports such as basketball, tennis and boxing; as well as playing and laughing at the Versoix ice rink.

Ski weekend in Crans Montana

Our dedicated Camps team successfully hosted the highly anticipated annual Mountain Weekend getaway to Crans-Montana.

The boys from Léman enjoyed the exhilarating experience of skiing and snowboarding amidst the stunning Swiss Alps. For those seeking alternative activities, a thoughtfully curated lineup was available, including bowling, snowshoeing, sledging, and other exciting options, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

With spectacular weather and ideal snow conditions throughout the weekend, the students experienced the perfect blend of adventure, friendship, and the awe-inspiring beauty of the Alps.

This incredible trip left the students with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Happy Birthday Asiimwe and Aijuka!

Another special day in the Léman House. Asiimwe and Aijuka are now 18 and double birthday means 2 cakes 🙂

We are delighted to see them reaching adulthood, in a funny, balanced and joyful way. We are sure the future holds wonderful things for the two of you.

Happy Birthday boys from all of us in your Léman family.

Weekends On Campus!

Whilst our Grade 10 students were enjoying their time in the mountains, our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students remained on campus, engaging in a variety of enriching weekend clubs and activities.

The activities available to them offered something for everyone, catering to a wide range of interests and skills. Students had the opportunity to challenge themselves with climbing, glide gracefully (or not!) on the ice skating rink, and get creative in the kitchen with cooking sessions. These activities were just a few examples of the many options designed to foster fun, personal growth, and a sense of community.

The weekend provided an excellent balance of relaxation and engagement, allowing the students to recharge while exploring hobbies and spending quality time with their peers. It was a perfect reminder that meaningful experiences can be had both on campus and beyond.

Happy Birthday Enrico

The dean of the student body in Léman turned 19. He had a busy day but took the time to celebrate and share some chocolate cake with his closest friends.

Wish you the best Enrico. We are sure you will go far and we are proud of your values.

Happy Japanese New Year!

Today we had the first boarding assembly after the holidays and the year 2025. This time in the cultural diversity section we had the opportunity to listen to Masafumi together with two other Japanese students about the typical gastronomy for this celebration, the custom of the new year’s pocket money that the youngest members of the family receive and the traditions surrounding this date.

Happy Japanese New Year!
