Weekend Activities 27th-28th of September

This weekend our Leman boys participated in a various array of activities offered from our lovely staff, from the more adventurous, to the more intellectual.
Here highlighted in the pictures we can see the chess club, the wakeboard activity and climbing.
Each of our students were able to show a special part of themselves through these activities, and all with big smiles on their faces.

Silver at the Chess Tournament

Yesterday, Ignacy took part in a chess tournament with other schools in the area. He played eight games in total, winning seven of them. His only loss was against the tournament champion, which gave him a very well-earned second place.

We are really proud of Ignacy and want to congratulate him for his effort, perseverance, and great attitude. Well done!

House Assembly – Michael and Filippo’s project

While this is Respect week at CDL, our House Assembly had a particular element today. Michael and Filippo are investing their time and energy in a lovely project and they used the House time to share with it the rest of the group.

Having students engaged and committed is something that makes us proud and reassured. It shows the good heart of our boys and highlights the positive motivations that lead them forward.

Well done to Michael and Filippo for stepping up and for inspiring the rest of the community.

Having good intentions and working for a common good it’s also a form of RESPECT.

Ignacy’s birthday

Happy Birthday Ignacy.

Your friends, colleagues, house mates… in other words, your Boarding family wishes you a wonderful birthday.
We wish that these smiles will stay around you for a loooong time 🙂

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Yesterday we started the boarding football tournament organized by our House Parent Max. We had a really competitive match in which some of our Leman boys took place. Was such an amazing game with a lot of goals, and the most important, the fairplay between both teams.

TRIP TO EUROPA PARK

This weekend, some of the kids from the house went to Europa Park in Germany, considered the best amusement park in Europe. Our kids had a different kind of weekend where fun and good company were the most important things.

The Unscramble Game

This weekend there was a house game called unscrambler, where students must figure out words that are all jumbled up. The words that the students unscramble are words representing CDL’s values and words related to life in boarding, such as: “internationalism” or “wellbeing”. All in all, the students were able to gather and enjoy different activities offered this weekend.

Your turn?

The Last Weekend Of Summer!

This weekend at CDL, our Leman students had the opportunity to dive into a dynamic range of sporting activities, thoughtfully organized by our dedicated CDL staff. Whether they were seasoned athletes or simply looking to try something new, there was something for everyone.

Tennis sessions offered a chance to refine technique and enjoy friendly matches under the guidance of experienced coaches. Students practiced their serves, volleys, and footwork, all while soaking up the late summer sun on our beautiful courts.

Climbing proved to be a thrilling challenge, encouraging students to push their limits both physically and mentally. With harnesses secured and safety briefings in place, they tackled various climbing routes, building confidence and camaraderie along the way.

Boxing was a standout for those seeking a high-energy workout. Under professional supervision, students learned basic stances, punches, and combinations, all while improving their fitness, discipline, and focus. It was a great way to channel energy and build resilience.

These sporting events not only promoted physical health but also fostered teamwork, perseverance, and a sense of achievement. Whether scaling walls, sparring in the ring, or rallying on the court, our students embraced the spirit of challenge and fun.

The Inaugural House Games

This Sunday was the first competition between the boarding houses. In this case, all the houses faced each other in different games and challenges to enjoy a fun afternoon in Concha’s garden, which ended with an ice cream. But most importantly, through sports, the boys and girls came together to compete as a team and enjoy this pleasant afternoon at Collège du Léman.

Happy Birthday Karim!

We can only say one thing to one of the most charismatic boys in our house: happy birthday!

We can only say one thing to one of the most charismatic lads in our house: happy birthday!

We hope that this last year ahead of you in CDL brings you many good things and that you continue to learn every day.

Mountain Weekend in Léman 🏔️

Fresh Swiss air at Boarding

This weekend, we visited two extremely beautiful and characteristic places in the canton of Valais, in the heart of the Swiss Alps: Verbier and Leysin.

The entire Boarding community enjoyed activities such as mountain biking, rope courses, rock climbing, nature hiking, etc.

Thanks to these activities, we can have fun in nature while developing new skills and making new friends.

Here are a few photos from this weekend.
