Proud of our NHS Inductees

Being admitted into the National Honors Society is a massive achievement and we are over the moon with the 7 Léman boys who had their Induction today.

The National Honor Society empowers and equips students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders in your school, community, and beyond.

Therefore a massive well done to Ikuma, Yuce, Filippo, Ignacy, Adame, Kipras and Nikolai for this outstanding achievement 🙂

Dinner At Home: Lasagna

The first dinner at home back from the Half Term break, the students indulged in an amazing homemade Lasagna made by our kitchen team. Once again they have done an amazing job putting smiles on our students faces.

Our amazing Fidel serving our boys their hot meal.

SOUTHERN SPAIN TRIP

During the October holidays, some of our boarders, such as Mateo and Jose Carlos, enjoyed an immersion in the culture of southern Spain. Among the activities they took part in, we can highlight the Caminito del Rey, a walkway built into the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge, between the municipalities of Ardales, Álora and Antequera, in the province of Malaga. In addition to enjoying the local cuisine, such as paella and tapas, the boys took surfing lessons in Tarifa (Cadiz), practiced flamenco, a traditional dance in Andalusia, and visited the Alhambra, a monumental complex in Granada, Spain, which includes palaces, gardens and a fortress, originally built as a citadel for the emirs and sultans of the Nasrid dynasty.

The Tanzania Trip

A group of students some from our house (Federico, Oscar, Nicolas and Vini) travelled to Tanzania for a meaningful school trip that combined community service, cultural discovery and adventure. Their main goal was to discover a new culture and help build houses for animals and families. Each day they worked alongside local builders, mixing cement and carrying bricks, contributing step by step to the construction.

During their stay in the village, the students experienced daily life in Tanzania. They learned to cook traditional meals over open fires, tried local dishes, and exchanged languages with the community. They also spent time with local students, sharing stories, playing football and discovering cultural traditions.

The trip also included a safari where the group explored Tanzania’s incredible wildlife. Seeing elephants, giraffes and zebras in their natural environment was a moment they would never forget.

The journey showed the students the value of teamwork, resilience and cultural understanding. More than building classrooms, they built friendships and gained a new appreciation for education and global connection.

Welcome back!

Welcome back!

We would like to inform you that the Léman team is back and the house is ready to welcome you once again. We hope you have lots of stories to tell about your holidays and plenty of energy to start the new term.

Autumn Term Break – See you Soon

As the autumn leaves begin to fall and the crisp air settles in, it’s time for a well-deserved October break! We hope everyone enjoys this time to rest, recharge, and spend quality moments with family and friends.

Our team will be away during the break and will return on Friday, October 25th, ready to dive into the rest of the term with fresh energy and enthusiasm.

Wishing you a relaxing and joyful holiday!

The Leman Team

Golf Tournament

Congratulations to José Carlos and Federico for representing us and the school in the ADISR Tournament at the Jiva Hill Golf Club

José won the first prize for the mix group brut (without handicap), Federico got fourth overall but second place in the boys category with the handicap index.

We came second overall among five schools, but we only had three golfers, otherwise the first place was ours 🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARDIA

Happy Birthday Bardia.

We’re all so lucky to have you around — your good vibes, jokes, and energy make the boarding house feel like home. Hope you have an amazing day filled with laughter, friends, and great memories. You deserve it! 🙌

Football Tournament for Tanzania

Today, a charity football tournament was organised by the boarders who are going on the trip to Tanzania with the aim of raising funds to buy materials for the volunteer work they will be doing there. Some of the boys, such as Mateo, Oscar, Jason, Kipras and Nicolas, who organised the event, spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon there. Homemade desserts were also sold to increase the amount raised for this good cause.

The tournament is here, our boys are ready.

José Carlos and Federico took advantage of our Sunday activity to warm up their swings ahead of Tuesday’s school tournament, in which they will represent CDL against other schools in the area.

They certainly have the skill and motivation; let’s hope that on Tuesday, a good strategy and course strategy will help them have a great day and, why not, bring home the cup.

Weekend Activities

Yesterday, some of our boarders enjoyed a day full of activities, such as climbing, wakeboarding on the lake, rock climbing, boxing and horse riding. But the weekend isn’t over yet; today they are enjoying another day of activities before classes start again on Monday.

Golden Beach Volley tournament

Although autumn has already arrived in Versoix, what better way to say goodbye to the first half-term than with a beach volleyball tournament?

Today, many boarders and day students came together to take part in the competition, and we are proud to congratulate Masafumi for winning first place.

Masa has dedicated many years of time and effort to volleyball training, and we can truly say that his hard work is paying off.

Congratulations!

Happy Birthday Joe

Joe turned 16 and birthday means cake.

Despite an hectic schedule with classes, football practices and homework, Joe managed to share a special moment with his closest friends to mark the day.

He promised he will mention us when he wins the Ballon d’Or 🙂

Happy Birthday Joe!!!
