We’re heading to Venezuela tonight — no passport needed! Join us at 6:30 PM for an evening full of amazing food, great company, and a chance to discover a country full of color, rhythm, and flavor. While you eat, you’ll get to learn a bit about this beautiful country, too.

Fun facts to get you started:

• Venezuela is home to Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall in the world.

• The name “Venezuela” means “Little Venice”, named by early explorers who saw stilt houses over water.

• They have Christmas on roller skates. Seriously — in Caracas, streets are closed so people can skate to early morning mass!

• And yes… they love baseball more than football!

This Wednesday, 09 April 2025, join us for a special International Dinner Night celebrating the rich and diverse flavours of Russia! The House of Olympus is excited to bring a taste of Russian culture to our community. Whether you’re familiar with Russian cuisine or trying it for the first time, it’s sure to be an experience worth savouring.

Russia is known for its hearty and flavourful dishes like borscht (a beet soup), pelmeni (dumplings), and blini (pancakes) – see poster below for more. We’ll have a variety of traditional Russian foods to explore, and we can’t wait to share these delicious dishes with you.

Did you know that Russia is the largest country in the world, spanning across 11 time zones? From the snowy mountains of Siberia to the vibrant streets of Moscow, Russia has a rich history and culture that’s reflected in its food.

As always, our International Dinner Nights aim to celebrate the diversity of our school community. We value the different backgrounds and cultures represented here, and tonight’s dinner is no exception.

Yesterday, Olympus set out for an action-packed paintball battle, and what a day it was! The sun was shining, the adrenaline was pumping, and the competitive spirit was at an all-time high as we geared up for an epic showdown between the Blue, Black, and Red teams.

From the moment we arrived, the energy was electric. After suiting up in our protective gear and loading our markers, it was time for battle strategy. Each team huddled together, whispering tactics, setting up ambush plans, and deciding who would charge ahead and who would defend the fort.

Last Team Standing

This round was all about endurance. With paint flying in every direction, teammates had to dodge, dive, and strategize to stay in the game.

At the end of the day, everyone left covered in paint, a little sore, but with huge smiles on their faces.
