Mind Over Matter: Taking Care During Exams

As the final exams roll in, the atmosphere in House Olympus has been buzzing with late-night study sessions, group discussions, and the clack of keyboards in every corner. It’s that intense but rewarding time of year when everyone is putting their hard work to the test—literally.

We’re proud of how focused and determined our Olympians have been! Whether you’re wrapping up IB exams, catching up on final projects, or revising for that one subject that always keeps you guessing—remember, you’re not alone in this.

Here are a few tips to keep your mind clear and your stress in check:

🧘‍♀️ Take Mindful Breaks
Studying for hours on end can feel productive, but your brain needs rest too. Try the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of focused work, followed by a 5-minute break. After four sessions, take a longer 20–30-minute break. Use that time to stretch, go for a quick walk, or just breathe.

🥗 Fuel Your Brain
Late-night snacks are part of the experience, but try to balance them with brain-boosting foods—nuts, fruits, whole grains, and plenty of water. Hydration helps with focus more than we realize!

🛏️ Sleep Is Not Optional
All-nighters might sound heroic, but they don’t help retention. Even a short nap can improve memory and performance. Aim for 7–8 hours if you can—it makes a real difference.

🎧 De-Stress Your Way
Everyone relaxes differently. For some, it’s music and journaling; for others, it’s a quick gym session or a walk by the lake. Don’t feel guilty for taking a break to recharge.

👫 Lean on Your Olympus Family
You’re surrounded by peers who understand exactly what you’re going through. Reach out, study together, or just talk it out over dinner. We’re stronger together.

Let’s finish strong, House Olympus! You’ve got this—and we’re cheering you on every step of the way. 🎓🔥

“Exams don’t define you, but how you face them can show just how resilient you really are.”

💙 With pride,
The House Olympus Team

Middle Schoolers on a Mission (with Helmets)

Today, our Middle School boarders set off on an unforgettable adventure: the Léman Journey. After weeks of preparation, they were more than ready for this three-day cycling challenge around Lake Geneva.

Along the way, they’ll build resilience, connect with students from other houses, and explore some of Switzerland’s most beautiful spots. An impressive 180km endurance that will truly make memories for them.

USA International Dinner Night!

This week, Collège du Léman is celebrating the spirit—and the flavors—of the United States with a special International Dinner dedicated to all things American!

From classic burgers and mac & cheese to sweet treats like brownies and apple pie, our dining hall is transformed into a delicious tribute to the USA. It’s more than just food—it’s a chance for our international community to come together, share stories, and experience a taste of American culture.

We’re proud to celebrate diversity through cuisine, and this dinner is another reminder of how food brings us all closer.

Bon appétit and happy USA night! 🇺🇸✨

Pedal Beats Sole

We had our Annual – Riders vs Runners Race in which two teams battled it out. One on wheels around Lake Geneva, and the other on foot, doing a matched km run! It wrapped up with a decisive win for the riders. Tackling a demanding course of mixed terrain, both teams gave it everything—speed, strategy, and pure determination. While the runners impressed with their resilience and steady pace, the riders pulled ahead on the hills and straights, crossing the finish line with time to spare. It was a thrilling contest that’s sure to fuel more debate over who really owns the road.
