Last weekend before the holidays!

Dear all,

This weekend, we enjoyed a variety of delightful activities. On Friday, the day was beautiful, with spring bringing blossoms to the trees and flowers blooming around campus. On Saturday, the girls had a fantastic time horse riding, playing games indoors, and baking delicious desserts. Sunday offered a plethora of enjoyable activities as well, including tennis, stretching and relaxation sessions, pilates, chess, the final day in Verbier for the ski group, a day at the spa, an art club session with Miss Madina, and another delightful bake-off skillfully prepared by Miss Alison.

These activities provided an opportunity for all the girls to bond and enjoy each other’s company before departing for the holiday at some point this week.

Thank you for the wonderful weekend! Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead and a splendid holiday!

Kind regards,

Villa du Lac Team 😊

Boarding Assembly ⭐

Three of our girls spoke during the last boarding assembly, and we are proud to share that with you.

We want to congratulate Emma and Yeva for having the courage to step onto the stage and talk about their journey to Finland. You both were fantastic, girls. Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories with us.

We also want to congratulate and thank Paria for introducing us to Nowruz, the Persian New Year. Everyone was delighted to learn more about your culture.

Meri: Our Star Boarder of the Week!

We are thrilled to announce that Meri has been chosen as our Boarder of the Week! Her dedication and helpfulness have truly shone through this week, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Meri took the initiative to clean the entire fridge on her floor without being asked. This act of responsibility and consideration for her fellow boarders exemplifies the kind of community spirit we value here in our house.

She has also been really helpful and supportive whenever anyone needed assistance. Meri has been there with a smile on her face and a willingness to help.

Meri, we want to extend our sincerest thanks to you for your help and positivity. Your actions have not gone unnoticed, and we are proud to have you as a member of our VDL family.

You’re a star!

What a weekend! πŸŽ¨πŸ†β›·οΈ

Dear all,

What an extraordinary weekend it has been! With excitement in the air, four of our lovely girls went on a journey to Paris, where they marveled at the iconic Eiffel Tower and beheld the enigmatic smile of the Mona Lisa. Their adventures and pictures undoubtedly added a touch of magic to our weekend.

Meanwhile, back at Villa du Lac, the spirit of adventure continued with a thrilling Escape Room challenge that had hearts racing and minds buzzing with excitement. They showcased their wit and teamwork, emerging victorious from the labyrinth of puzzles and clues.

In addition to the thrill of the Escape Room, we were treated to a delightful workshop led by our esteemed House Tutor, Madina. Her guidance and expertise created an atmosphere of creativity and learning, enriching our weekend with new skills and perspectives. This time, with a focus on the artist Zao Wou Ki and poetry.

And let us not forget the March on Women’s Day, where we stood united in solidarity, celebrating the achievements and resilience of women everywhere. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within our community. Apart from walking 4K for the march, sports also took center stage, with some hitting the slopes in Verbier for a day of exhilarating skiing, while others enjoyed a friendly game of tennis. Furthermore, we’re ecstatic to announce that our volleyball team emerged triumphant in the weekend tournament against other schools! Their hard work and dedication were truly commendable, and we couldn’t be prouder of their well-deserved victory.

Wishing you all a nice week ahead!

Warm regards,

Villa du Lac Team 😊
