Exciting “long weekend” (le pont!)

Dear all,

This long weekend – or “le pont” (πŸŒ‰) as French speakers would say – the girls enjoyed some exciting activities and made the most of the lovely weather. Some of these included chess, volleyball, wakeboarding, a trip to Annecy (known as the “Venice of the Alps”), and a visit to the actual Venice (keep an eye out for an upcoming post about this lovely adventure, a favorite destination for some so far!).

During the weekend, we also took some time to watch the Eurovision contest (with Switzerland as the winner, making the day for our Swiss girls!) and did some stargazing on the terrace Saturday night. Unfortunately, our hopes of seeing the northern lights were not fulfilled, but we enjoyed the time trying to spot them with nice music.

Finally, on Sunday, Miss Alison baked some super tasty and amazing banana bread, brownies, along with watermelon for the health-conscious ones! (Yummmy!)

Keep an eye out for the post on Venice, and we wish you all an amazing week ahead!

Best wishes,

Villa du Lac Team 😊

May Fitness Challenge πŸ’ͺ

Dear all,

This month, the May Fitness Challenge is taking place to promote students’ well-being during exam pressure. It has been very enjoyable and exciting to see all the girls in the house getting involved. We are including below the challenge from Tuesday: “How many hand-taps can you and your partner do in 1 minute?” Congratulations to Lola and Laure Jane for winning!

Thank you to Perrine and Iola for this amazing initiative!

Best wishes,

Villa du Lac Team 😊

Our Remarkable Girls at the Boarding Assembly

We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the incredible girls of our house who participated in the recent Boarding Assembly. Among them, Ana Sofia graced us with yet another remarkable performance, showcasing her exceptional talent as always. Ana Sofia, you are a star, and we are grateful for the moment you shared with us

Carmen took the stage to share her enriching experience in Tanzania. You have every reason to be proud of yourself, Carmen, for overcoming your nerves and delivering such an inspiring speech.

Congratulations to Iara as well, who has been recognized and praised for her efforts throughout the school year. Keep it up, Iara!

We also congratulate Emma and Ana Sofia for their commitment as advocates for Pillar Number 5, making safe and responsible choices.
