Boarding House Awards Night

We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements of our talented students in this year’s Boarding Awards! At Villa du Lac, we couldn’t be prouder to see our girls shine in all three categories: Boarding Life, Activities, and Academic. These awards are a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and sense of community shown by our students!

In the Boarding Life category, we celebrate Vivi, Paria, and Lucía, who have been outstanding boarders, always supporting their peers, fully embracing the boarding life with enthusiasm, and setting an example of friendship and camaraderie. These three have truly embodied the spirit of our house.

In Activities, our winners were Sophia, Rafaela, and Masha. These girls have stood out for their positive attitudes, always ready to participate with energy in weekend activities, trying new things, and encouraging others to join in. Their enthusiasm and energy are contagious, and their willingness to make the most of every moment in boarding has been exemplary.

Finally, in the Academic Awards category, we are excited to recognize LJ, who not only achieved the highest grades but has also shown incredible dedication to her academic work. Additionally, we want to give a special mention to Patricia who has excelled in the French section, Paria in IBCP1 and Rafaela in G11, as well as  all the other girls who, through hard work and perseverance, are achieving great things. We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished!

Each of these students has demonstrated what it means to be part of Villa du Lac, and we’re confident they will continue to achieve amazing things. This is just the beginning! Thank you for your effort, dedication, and for making our house a stronger, more united place. We are so proud of you all and know that you will achieve everything you set your mind to!

Boarder of the week – Congratulations to….. CAYLA!!!!!

This week, our Border of the Week winner is Cayla, who left us deeply impressed with her brilliant presentation at COP. Her talk, which addressed the crucial role of Indigenous communities in China in the fight against climate change, reminded us of the importance of including their voices in a just transition to a more sustainable future.

Cayla explained how Indigenous communities are not only facing the harshest consequences of climate change, but also how they are guardians of ancestral knowledge and practices that could be key to mitigating these effects. She highlighted the urgent need for public policies that protect their territorial rights, ensure equitable access to climate resources, and defend their territorial sovereignty, allowing for a just transition for all.

We are incredibly proud of her participation in such an important event, and to see how her work contributes to raising awareness among the next generation about climate justice. Congratulations, Cayla, for being an inspiration to us all! This is undoubtedly just the beginning of your amazing journey toward a fairer and more sustainable world. 🌍✨
