First Week Impressions: Swimming, Chocolate, and Bonding

The first week in our house has been full of energy, laughter, and new experiences. From the very first day, the students have been getting to know one another, sharing stories, and creating the first bonds that will grow stronger throughout the year. One of the highlights was spending time by the lake, enjoying water activities together. Between paddleboarding, kayaking, and simply relaxing in the sun, it was a wonderful way to build trust and teamwork while having fun.

Later in the week we set off on a trip to discover two iconic Swiss treasures. At the Cailler chocolate factory, everyone was fascinated to learn about the process of chocolate making—of course, tasting the samples was the sweetest part of the day. We then explored the charming medieval village of Gruyères, with its cobbled streets and mountain views, where the group enjoyed local traditions and plenty of laughter.

It has been a fantastic beginning, filled with discoveries and smiles. The girls are settling in beautifully, and the atmosphere in the house already feels warm and welcoming. We are excited for all the moments still to come and the memories we will create together this year.
