A long but fun weekend!

This weekend, our students enjoyed a little break from the routine thanks to Friday’s holiday. Many went on off-campus adventures, while those who stayed behind took the opportunity to recharge their batteries… and then some! The activities began with a cooking workshop full of creativity and flavours. There was no shortage of delicious dishes, and the occasional ‘masterpiece’ was definitely a memorable culinary experiment. But the action didn’t stop there: there was also golf and tennis, where amidst laughter and a bit of healthy competition, our students demonstrated their skills. The more adventurous joined in with a walk in the forest, where the fresh air and views became the best treat of the day.
Finally, bodyshaping and pilates sessions, ideal for waking up the body (and discovering muscles we didn’t even know we had). Then, for those looking for peace and impossible stretches, it was the turn of stretching, where everything from toe touching to some photo-worthy poses.
It was a weekend where everyone enjoyed themselves in their own way, and now our students return to class full of energy and stories to share. CDL knows how to make a long weekend an unforgettable experience!

Boarder of the week

We are super proud to announce that the ‘’boarder of the week‘’ is……………. Paria !!!!!!

It goes without saying that Paria is a real artist, and thanks to her we got the SECOND PLACE in the pumpkin competition. And not only for her art, but also for her companionship and participation in every the boarding actions.

Thank you very much for being always present and for your light and your smile.

THANK YOU PARIA <3

Assembly: what’s to come

Today at Assembly we had some very special moments and caught up on what’s coming up in the school calendar.

To begin with, we had the pleasure of listening to Sedef playing the piano. His performance was truly inspiring. These types of performances not only allow us to enjoy the art, but also to support our fellow students in their achievements and passions.

Afterwards, we had a talk about the recent trip to Tanzania, which took place during the October break. They shared with us the experiences and stories that our colleagues went through there, from the visits to local communities to the cultural learning and service activities they undertook. It was certainly an enriching trip, and one that left a lasting impression on them and on those of us listening to their stories today.

We also took the opportunity to review some of the important events coming up, which will allow us to enjoy different activities and maintain our community spirit. L’Escalade, a historic and fun celebration in which we all take an active part. In addition, the Charity Committee is preparing for the Christmas activities, inviting everyone to get involved in solidarity and fundraising initiatives, to make this time even more meaningful.

They also talked about the mountain and ski weekend.

Today has been an Assembly full of inspiration and excitement for what is to come – let’s keep building memories together!

🎃👻Trick or treat?👻🎃

Spooky season at CDL

Halloween has arrived and the pumpkin carving contest between boarding houses was a big hit, each team brought amazing creativity to their designs and the results were truly impressive!

We invited all the students to swing by the Villa du Lac house tonight for some trick-or-treating fun! Grab your costumes and forget your candy bags-we’ll be handing out treats to all our brave trick or treaters!

Have a spooky and sweet Halloween everyone! 👻🎃🍬

WELCOME BACK! A memorable journey to Tanzania

Welcome back everyone!

From VDL, we hope you have returned from the break feeling refreshed and ready for a new term.

For those who joined the Tanzania trip, we’re certain it’s left an indelible mark on your minds and hearts. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the experiences you shared during our two weeks in Tanzania, a journey that blended community service with the beauty of discovery and relaxation.

In the first week, you took part in a meaningful project, helping to build vital infrastructure alongside local communities. This experience was not only about getting our hands a bit dirty but about learning the importance of service, teamwork, and resilience. Each conversation shared taught you lessons in collaboration and empathy that go beyond the classroom.

The second week brought you to the scene shores of Zanzibar. After days of hard work, you enjoyed the breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear water and a chance to unwind. This was a time for reflection, bonding and celebrating the friendships we strengthened. The beauty of Zanzibar reminded us of the significance of balance in life-of dedicating ourselves to hard work but also finding time to rest and recharge.

We are grateful to each student who participated, bringing energy, kindness, and open-mindedness to every moment. Your commitment to making difference and embracing new experiences has set a wonderful tone for the term ahead.

Here’s to an inspiring term full of growth, learning, and new adventures!

International Award!

We would like to thank Melinda Rafa, Aurora, Sophia, Ayla, Lucia and Lusha for their efforts to make our international community a respectful and united space. Your openness and willingness to integrate the different cultures of the school has made a big difference.

Thank you for being friendly, respectful and for creating an environment where everyone feels welcome. The way you have embraced diversity and helped make this school a place where everyone, no matter where they come from, feels included, is something we value greatly.

Thank you very, very much girls!!!!!!

Boarders of the week <3

We are thriller to congratulate Iara and Sophia, our boarders of these two weeks.

Iara was ”border of the week” last week because of her kindness, for being willing to help at all times and for asking questions to each of her companions and to the houseparent and house tutor.

Sophia is ”boarder of the week” this week. She is always willing to participate in all the activities that are proposed (sports, activities, making new friends…), with a smile and a positive energy that is contagious to everyone.

Thank you very much girls for helping and for your smile every day! Good job!
