24H run for Cancer Research A poweful Community Effort

This Saturday, our boarding community proudly took part in the inspiring 24-Hour Run for Cancer Research β€” a fundraising event dedicated to supporting vital cancer research efforts. Among the enthusiastic participants were Vivi, Rafa, Dasha, Vanessa, Chloe, Polina, Melina, Margo and Monica, who all gave their time, energy, and heart to this important cause.

The event ran continuously for 24 hours, with members of the boarding community taking turns on the track to ensure that someone was always running in support of the cause. It was not only a physical challenge but also an incredible display of unity, resilience, and compassion.

All the funds raised during the run will go toward cancer research, helping to bring hope to those affected by the disease. Seeing our students actively involved and giving their best was a proud moment for all of us.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event β€” and even more grateful for the spirit, strength, and solidarity shown by our girls. Well done to everyone who participated and supported!

CDL DAY

CDL Day was filled with energy and school spirit! Paria, Masha, Iara, Elena, and Sophia took on the Fun Run with enthusiasm, enjoying the challenge together. Aurora played a key role in organizing the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. It was a fantastic day of fun, fitness, and teamwork!

Weekend Activities

This weekend, the girls enjoyed the beautiful weather with activities like acrobranch, outdoor stretching, cooking, Art Club, Pilates, and more. Katia and Rochelle proudly represented Villa du Lac in the Climbing Cup. It was a fun and active weekend for everyone!

Wellbeing Pillar 4

Today the girls show a video about the benefits of being active. Being active improves physical health, boosts mood, and increases energy levels. It helps maintain a healthy weight, strengthens muscles and bones, and reduces the risk of diseases. Regular activity enhances focus, reduces stress, and promotes better sleep, leading to a healthier and happier life.

Pilar Healthy Bodies and Mind

Today, we launched the Pilar “Healthy Bodies and Mind “. In the first week, the girls learned about the importance of calories and the right balance of proteins and carbohydrates needed for a healthy plate.

We showed them a video on the topic, followed by a discussion about the key takeaways. We also emphasized the importance of having a colorful plate, as variety in food ensures a well-balanced diet.

It was a great start, and we look forward to building on this foundation in the coming weeks!

House Activity – personalised mug painting πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨πŸ΅

Today saw the Villa du Lac family coming together for our House Activity and the creative talent on display was really quite something!

Every member of the House, students and staff alike, chose a mug and decorated it in whatever style they liked. From favourite cartoon characters to beloved pets, favourite quotes to important dates, and an array of designs worthy of a home decorating store, the girls put their personal stamp on their mugs before we transferred them to the ovens to set the paints.

It was a lovely way to spend an evening together and we feel truly blessed to be able to share moments like this together πŸ’•

Dinner in the house

American dinner night at the boarding house was a hit! The girls loved classic comfort foods like mac and cheese, fried chicken, and apple pie. With lots of laughter and second helpings, everyone enjoyed a cosy, homey evening together. A truly memorable meal!
