This week has been full of energy, warmth, and shared activities that continue to shape life at Villa du Lac 16. Leila enjoyed a lively day on the slopes ⛷️, making the most of the crisp winter air, while PT lessons kept the girls active on campus and focused as part of their weekly routine.

Back at the house, the sun briefly shone over the garden, illuminating our newly inaugurated outdoor space and creating a pleasant moment to pause and enjoy some fresh air. The girls also spent time in Geneva, combining a bit of shopping with shared time in the city.

Creativity continued in the kitchen, where Serafina took the lead in preparing a pasta dinner 🍝 that filled the house with inviting aromas and brought everyone together for a relaxed evening. As the day wound down, the girls shared stories and enjoyed a calm end to the day. We are also looking forward to welcoming Lucia back tomorrow and celebrating her birthday together 🎂💐

This weekend offered a range of activities for our girls to choose from. On Saturday, some took part in cooking class, running club, horse riding, and the always-popular art club, which provided a calm and creative space to unwind. We also introduced a new activity – woodworking in Geneva – which gave the girls the opportunity to try something hands-on and different!

This week’s Boarder of the Week award goes to all of the Ski Day girls! ❄️⛷️
Throughout the day, they showed incredible energy, stayed active from start to finish, and embraced every moment on the slopes. Their enthusiasm, positive attitude, and support for one another made the ski day not only fun but truly memorable. Well done for making the most of the experience and showing such great spirit—keep it up!

This weekend was packed with amazing experiences and great energy!
We enjoyed a wide variety of activities, both on and off campus, making the most of our time together.

🏙️ Trip to Bern – exploring the city, discovering Swiss culture and enjoying time together in a beautiful setting.
🧩 Escape Room – teamwork, problem-solving and lots of excitement!
🏔️ Crans-Montana trip – fresh mountain air, snow, breathtaking views and an unforgettable alpine atmosphere.
⚽ Sports activities – football, fitness sessions and active games on campus.
🎨 Creative & group activities – moments to connect, relax and have fun together.

We’re thrilled to officially be moved into our new house!

After settling in and unpacking, the house quickly filled with laughter, conversation, and a feeling of home. Rooms were claimed, bags were emptied (mostly!), and familiar routines have begun to take shape in our new space.

🎂 We were also lucky enough to celebrate a very special moment together—wishing a big happy birthday to Serafina on January 15th! 🎉 It was the perfect way to bring everyone together and make the new house feel even more like home.

We’re excited to announce that Villa du Lac has reopened after the winter break. We hope everyone enjoyed a restful holiday and wish you all a very Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe how quickly the first part of the school year has flown by — and now the December holidays are already here. After months full of learning, activities, and shared moments, it’s time for a well-deserved break.

We would like to wish everyone in the CDL community a joyful, restful, and warm holiday season. Whether you’re spending this time with family, travelling near or far, enjoying winter landscapes, or simply slowing down and recharging at home, we hope these holidays bring you peace, happiness, and plenty of good moments.

The house will close this Sunday for the holiday break.
We will reopen on Saturday, January 10th at 09:00, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the new term as we start school on Monday 12th January.
