Every December, Geneva honors L’Escalade, remembering the thwarting of a Catholic Savoyard attempt to conquer the Protestant city.

The celebration includes diverse traditions, such as breaking the “marmite de l’Escalade,” a chocolate cauldron filled with marzipan sweets. The eldest and youngest participants unite, striking the cauldron together to unveil the hidden treats inside.

The youngest member of the household is Bella, and the eldest is Lola. With great enthusiasm, they joined hands to break the chocolate cauldron.

This weekend was nothing short of thrilling for our girls! Filled with an array of activities, they had the chance to expend their energy in various exciting ways.

They kicked off with invigorating tennis matches that not only showcased skill but also sportsmanship. Equestrian enthusiasts among them enjoyed a delightful afternoon of horseback riding.

In the realm of fitness, the girls participated in a session of body-shaping and stretching/relaxation, allowing everyone to unwind and recharge for the upcoming week.

But the excitement didn’t end there! Our girls also headed to the cinema for a cinematic treat. Some opted for the heartwarming story in “Wish,” while others embarked on the thrilling journey of “Hunger Games.”

This weekend was quite different, filled with various sports events such as the popular L’Escalade in Geneva, and a delightful visit to Montreux and its lovely Christmas Market. 🌬️🏃‍♀️🎀🎄🎡

Despite the cold weather, Arshida, Marina and Sofiya bravely participated in L’Escalade, completing all the kilometers they had committed to with smiles, contributing to the sporty atmosphere!

In Montreux, the students had an amazing and incredible day, with some snow in the mountains providing picturesque and breathtaking views. They also enjoyed shopping in the little stalls, spending some festive and pleasant time together before heading home in the upcoming weeks.

Masha engaged in horse riding, honing her skills with the lovely horses in the stable, while Bella continued to participate in tennis.

Lastly, to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disability, the students shared some suggestions to enhance inclusivity in the different houses and implemented improvements where necessary. Well done for the efforts!
