On Monday, Akmaral, Emilia, Valentina and Nastya invited Sultan to cook typical food from Kazakhstan to celebrate Nowruz together. They made a lovely video, and the food was delicious. They offered everyone to try it !

Today, we wish a Happy Nowruz (new year) to our friends all over the world !

Nowruz is the Persian new year. According to the United Nations; “Nowruz promotes values of peace and solidarity between generations and within families. It’s a time of reconciliation and neighborliness, contributing to cultural diversity and friendship among peoples and different communities.”

It also happens to be on the Spring equinox ! 🙂

Some of our girls decided to take part in a house challenge today: 24 hours without phone !

This was Nycol’s idea and it is part of our Wellbeing pillar number 4 about online safety.

So, this morning before breakfast, the girls participating in this project left their phones with us in the office (and the house parents are also doing it !). They will get their phones back tomorrow before breakfast.

This weekend we had a lot of fun with the cooking and tennis activities. We enjoyed a healthy snack of strawberries and cream and received a very special visit from the little boys of Champ des Bois. We are ready to start the week with energy!

This week-end, although the weather was grey, we still got to spend a lovely time all together in CDL !

This week-end, we welcomed Oli and Leon from Champs des Bois house in Villa du Lac to cook with Miss Lucélia, Lola and Nycol. The boys also got to play with bubbles !

Yesterday was the final ski day for this school year. We split in two groups; Verbier and La Tzoumaz. Both resorts are very close so we got to all eat lunch together. The weather was lovely and the snow was really good !

The February break is over and the Villa du Lac is ready to welcome our students back !

Some students stayed with us during the winter camp. We had a lovely weather, both in Geneva and Morgins, where the skiers went everyday.

The non skiers also got to enjoy the break, they went walking in the snow, did toboggan or enjoyed the sun in Villa du Lac’s garden…

Spring is just around the corner and we cannot wait to see our lovely girls again !
