Dear all,
This evening, we enjoyed our last dinner at home for this academic year. We had lasagna, salad, and tiramisu. It was delicious, and the girls quickly devoured all the food.
Kind regards,

Dear all,
Last weekend, the students embarked on a lovely journey to Venice, a city built upon a lagoon, renowned for its captivating palaces and meandering canals. The trip lasted three days, full of nice activities.
On the first day, everyone strolled through the city, culminating in a dinner of authentic Italian pizza. The following day commenced with a visit to the magnificent Doge’s Palace, where the girls had a guided tour delving into its rich history. Energized by lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, they relished free time to explore further. Some students decided to join a quintessential Venetian experience with a gondola ride, while others explored the city, savoring gelato along the way.
On the final day, the students ventured to Murano Island to uncover the artistry of glassmaking. Witnessing the craftsmen at work was truly captivating, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They also had the opportunity to procure Murano glass souvenirs during their leisure time on the island. Returning to the main island, everyone visited the renowned Fenice Theater, concluding the day with some shopping before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Overall, it was a truly memorable experience! Please enjoy the delightful pictures from our trip below.
Best wishes,
Villa du Lac Team π
Dear all,
This long weekend – or “le pont” (π) as French speakers would say – the girls enjoyed some exciting activities and made the most of the lovely weather. Some of these included chess, volleyball, wakeboarding, a trip to Annecy (known as the “Venice of the Alps”), and a visit to the actual Venice (keep an eye out for an upcoming post about this lovely adventure, a favorite destination for some so far!).
During the weekend, we also took some time to watch the Eurovision contest (with Switzerland as the winner, making the day for our Swiss girls!) and did some stargazing on the terrace Saturday night. Unfortunately, our hopes of seeing the northern lights were not fulfilled, but we enjoyed the time trying to spot them with nice music.
Finally, on Sunday, Miss Alison baked some super tasty and amazing banana bread, brownies, along with watermelon for the health-conscious ones! (Yummmy!)
Keep an eye out for the post on Venice, and we wish you all an amazing week ahead!
Best wishes,
Villa du Lac Team π
